The On the Road Again Edition

I am happy and relaxed! My family took a little road trip last week, exploring old haunts and getting in some Pacific Northwest beach time. We really needed a getaway. I hope you’re able to get out and about this summer, too.

Now I’m back at Savetz Publishing World Headquarters, AKA my home office, working on new printables for you. There are new page borders, both colorful and classic, at PageBorders.net. Plus, I’ve expanded the selection of curriculum vitae templates at CVTemplates.net so there are even more resume variations from which to choose.

Page Borders

With the latest additions, PageBorders.net is soooo close to hitting 1,000 printables. There are now 997 borders, each with free versions to instantly download and print.

Most of the new borders are in full color. The just-added wedding borders include a bride and groom on a horizontal blue wave background and a sheet with wedding cake and Bible graphics. There’s now a New Year holiday border as well as themed border and concert designs.

There’s also a set of abstract borders with a thin, colored thorn pattern in black, blue, green, or red as well as one with pixel squares at the corners. Plus, find new polka dot borders in blue, green, orange, purple, red, and yellow.

PageBorders.net has both fun, informal borders and (also fun) formal borders. The latter now include: gold filigree and gold hearts and stars. New black-and-white and simple lined borders include: black Greco, scroll ribbon, and birds. Rounding out the new additions are colorful heart balloon and flower borders.

These borders are great for letter-writing, of course, but also as backgrounds or frames for flyers, signs, and other display purposes.

PageBorders.net also has borders for kids, sports borders, monogram borders, and international-themed borders. Everything at the site is free to download and print in PDF, DOC, PNG, or JPG format. The $7 AI version is ideal for graphic designers who edit using the program Adobe Illustrator.

CV Templates

CVTemplates.net, the complement to my resumes site InstantResumeTemplates.com, now has 358 curriculum vitae samples for all kinds of career and academic pursuits.

Each professionally designed, ready-to-edit template is free to download in DOC (Microsoft Word) format and print in letter or A4 size.

The CVs include samples for specific jobs such as: beauty consultant, public relations, chef, hospitality, nonprofit, and social media. There are also new templates for circumstances such as an employment gap or a remote work situation.

For those seeking to further their education, I’ve added templates for an art school application and general college apps. I recently learned more about “brag sheets” or high school student resumes for scholarships or to assist teachers in writing recommendation letters, and have added a few of those.

CVTemplates.net also has simple designs that are compliant with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) setups used by many big companies’ human resources departments.

You can alter any template at CVTemplates.net simply by typing over the sample wording to suit the position, role, or funding you seek. You’ll find designs with one or two columns, centered or left-aligned, and more. There are chronological and skills-based CVs, including styles popular at universities and in Europe. Each template downloads in DOC format. Simply type over the placeholder text with your own information.

Popular Printables

This week, my to-do list included taking a look at which printables are being downloaded the most to my to-do lists site.

The three most popular lists this week, as is usually the case, are simple, blank checklists with boxes to check off as you complete the tasks.

The Top 15 includes complex lists, too, such as a weekly cleaning checklist and a decluttering list.

Also hot are a colorful weekly to-do list, a set of six tiny checklists, two daily planner pages, and several illustrated, lined lists such as one with flowers.

Rounding out the most-downloaded are a task-based to-do list, a numbered list, and a homework checklist. There were no holidays lists this time around.

There are nearly 360 lists at the site, and I’ll be adding more soon. Each is free to download and print as either a PDF or an editable DOC file.
