The Measured Tone Edition
|
July is here, and thankfully it’s cooled down in Portland where I live. Our dogs are able to go for a walk on the sidewalk without wearing little booties. I hope you’re all staying safe and cool. I’ve got lots more printables on the way for summer and beyond.
I recently added new rulers to PrintableRulers.net, including some styles especially for crafters. Also, I’ve expanded the selection of obituary templates and other forms at ObituaryHelp.net.
Please take a moment to visit the FreePrintable.net Patreon page and consider making a monthly pledge to aid in the creation of new printables. Thanks!

I can’t hold back the ruler puns, even when they don’t measure up. I’ve been adding to PrintableRulers.net inch by inch since the site’s launch in 2015 and there are now 138 printables from which to choose. They’re all free to download and print.
There are new rulers and measurement tools for home, school, and workplaces, including standard, metric, and specialty rulers.
I’ve added several grid rulers with both standard and metric options. One edge of each has a zero-center mark. The number of grid lines per centimeter or inch vary.
You'll also find a new category at the site: cross stitch rulers. These needlework rulers are designed to match popular sizes of Aida cloth and other cross stitch fabrics such as linen. (Some can be used with plastic canvas; you crafters out there will know what to do!) The rulers’ counts per inch range from 10 to 28.
Make sure your printer is set to print these PDFs at 100 percent for the best results. Also, please know that these rulers are ideal for when you need to measure something in a pinch and can’t go to the store. Due to unavoidable variations in the printing process, they may vary slightly from physical rulers.
I’ll be adding to other education-related sites, such as TeachersPrintables.net (classroom printables) and PrintablePaper.net (paper), as we get closer to the new school year. (Until then, enjoy your summer!)

ObituaryHelp.net has dozens of sample obituary templates, and I’ve just added even more variations that will help you to tell the story of a life, or simply share information about funeral services.
The most recent additions to the site include obituaries with sample wording for the death of a sports fan, a professor, a married couple, and a pair of friends. There are also a few obituaries especially for honoring people whose death was related to Covid-19. I’ve also added an example of an obituary that corrects an error from an earlier writeup.
At ObituaryHelp.net, you’ll find examples of formal obits as well as some with humor and even a joke. Choose a template that’s close to your situation as a starting point and go from there.
Also new are five thank-you note variations for expressing appreciation to a boss, a coworker, a student, a sibling, or a young child.
Counting the latest additions, there are now 144 obituary templates, forms, funeral programs, and other printables at ObituaryHelp.net. The site also has several articles with tips on obituary writing, funeral etiquette, and other issues.
Everything at the site is free for your personal use. Most printables can be downloaded in editable DOC (Microsoft Word) format to type directly into.
Please also visit DeathPlanner.net, my one-stop online resource for end-of-life planning. There are checklists, forms, worksheets, and other resources that can be organized in a Final Directive planner. Or, print resources that will help someone get organized when dealing with the death of a
loved one.
Please keep sending me ideas for new printables! And remember to visit the FreePrintable.net Patreon page and consider becoming a member with a monthly pledge. Thanks and happy printing!
