Things are looking up! My wife and I were fortunately able to get our vaccines, so we can be part of helping to prevent the spread of Covid-19. It didn’t hurt a bit!

This week, I’ve added to two semi-related websites: InstantResumeTemplates.com and LettersOfRecommendation.net. You’ll find resumes and other job-related printables as well as templates and letters for other pursuits, all free to download, customize and print.

Resumes

The newest batch of additions to InstantResumeTemplates.com brings the number of sample resumes at the site to well over 400. There are resumes for specific industries, full-color resumes with graphics, and resumes for academic positions and scholarships.

Some of the templates have sample wording especially for first jobs, reentering the workforce, and situations relevant to the pandemic. Some of the new resumes are designed with basic formatting and fonts to be easily read by Automatic Tracking System (ATS) software. Other designs are more visually appealing, including some with two columns and others with colorful tabs.

I’ve also added new college scholarship resumes, including variations for artists and freshmen. Plus, find resumes for student volunteers, a minimalist resume, and even a resume for a “free spirit” personality.

Besides chronological resumes, InstantResumeTemplates.com has resumes for students of all ages and even a few resumes for animals.

InstantResumeTemplates.com has several pandemic-related resumes highlighting experience in learning and teaching remotely as well as job gaps due to layoff or furlough. There are also templates for telecommuting, gig work and retail positions.

Each of the new resumes is available in both letter and A4 size. Like everything at the site, the new templates are free to download and print in DOC (Microsoft Word) format. Just type into the example to customize the resume for your personal use.

InstantResumeTemplates.com also offers free templates for job objectives and skills matrixes. Plus, there are cover letters that match the resumes at sister site CoverLetterExamples.net.

Recommendation Letters

I’ve added a couple of dozen new sample letters to LettersOfRecommendation.net, all free to download, customize, and print. They’re ideal for anyone needing a jump start to find the right words to vouch for someone in business, academic, or personal matters.

There are now 337 recommendation letter templates at LettersOfRecommendation.net, along with articles featuring letter-writing tips.

The new letters include job-related recommendations for: a security guard, a public relations professional, a graphic designer, a cook, and a chef.

New scholarship recommendation letters cover academic excellence, financial need, sports, theater, nursing school, community college, and honors college. Plus, find templates for financial aid appeals. The site also has letters for asking someone else to write a recommendation for you. I’ve added four new letters for thanking teachers who have written letters on behalf of students for scholarship and college entrance.

LettersOfRecommendation.net also has sample letters relating to adoption, citizenship, parole, and other legal matters. There are also character reference letters for personal relationships.

These letters at LettersOfRecommendation.net are handy whether you’re writing to compliment an employee, student, friend, business, or other entity. Each is free in DOC format, or simply cut and paste the text directly from the site.

It’s been several months since I took a close look at what’s being downloaded the most at PrintablePlanners.net. I expect that a lot of people’s plans have changed during that time.

Of the more than 1,000 printable planner refills and specialty pages, the most-downloaded item is currently a daily planner with 15-minute intervals indicated. That’s the first time I’ve seen it in the top slot.

Also popular are: a 90-day calendar, a project planner, a bill tracker, a two-page monthly planner, a password tracker, a garden planner, a yearly calendar, and the always-hot five-year journal.

Rounding out the Top 15 are a colorful daily schedule and a cute five-day schedule. Plus, for the first time, planner stickers are among the most-downloaded.
