I’m another year older! Special thanks goes out to those of you who took my “birthday wish” to heart and sent in your ideas for new printables and even new sites. FreePrintable.net fans always come through. Thanks, too, for the happy birthday wishes. I put a couple in the Kudos section below. And, yes, I did get my birthday treat: a delicious pie.
This week, I added new resumes to InstantResumeTemplates.com. Several of them are designed to take into account job loss or furlough due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A few emphasize distance learning skills, either as a student or a teacher. There are now nearly 400 resumes at the site. Also just-added are pandemic-related letters at the various letters sites, including: complaint letters, rejection letters, apology letters, thank you letters, and condolence letters. There are dozens of
new letters in all.
I hope you’ll take a moment to visit the FreePrintable.net Patreon page and consider making a monthly pledge to support the creation of new printables. Thank you!

When I launched InstantResumeTemplates.com in 2008, it was with just a few basic resume designs. Later, it expanded to include resumes for specific industries, colorful resumes with graphics, and resumes for academic pursuits and circumstances such as a first job and reentering the workforce. With the latest additions that include pandemic-relevant resumes, there are now 396 templates at the site.
The new resumes for specific industries and positions include variations for: essential workers, bartenders, drivers, fitness instructors, musicians, music teachers, personal chefs, social media managers, and theater managers.
New resumes for students and teachers are especially relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic, in that they’re set up to highlight experience in learning remotely (students) and teaching remotely (instructors). Some include placeholder text for certifications, seminars, and other relevant details.
Also especially timely are the new resumes that address a job gap due to layoff or furlough. Some emphasize experience working from home and telecommuting.
Other new resumes include one intended for retirees and another that lists salary requirements.
Going beyond traditional chronological resumes, InstantResumeTemplates.com also has resumes for students, resumes set up to combat age discrimination, and even a few resumes for animals.
There are 20 new resumes in all, and like everything at the site, they’re free to download and print in DOC format to customize for your personal use.
InstantResumeTemplates.com also has templates for job objectives and skills matrices. There are cover letters that match the resumes at sister site CoverLetterExamples.net. Plus, find a wide variety of sample recommendation letters at LettersOfRecommendation.net.

Due in part to the response to the pandemic-related hardship letter templates I recently put up at LetterOfHardship.net, I’ve now added new letters to five of my other letters sites: ApologyLetters.net, ComplaintLetter.net, RejectionLetters.net, ThankYouLetter.ws, and CondolenceLetters.net.
Among the apology letters are templates for expressing regrets about: not following safety guidelines related to the pandemic, hoarding products, or exposing someone to illness. Other apologies cover social or professional missteps, such as inappropriate behavior during a Zoom call or dismissing concerns about public health.
The new complaint letters address issues such as safety measures taken, cleanliness, physical distancing measures, and product availability.
Rejection letters include some samples intended for businesses to send out when they’re not hiring due to the pandemic, or when products aren’t being offered. Personal rejections cover postponing romantic dates due to virus concerns.
The additions to CondolenceLetters.net are letters I wish weren’t necessary. They’re intended to help people find the right words to express sympathy for illness, hospitalization, or death due to COVID-19.
Rounding out the new additions are nine thank you letters referencing porch drop-offs, delivery services, PPE donations, various services, and video calls.
Thanks again for sending me your ideas, along with the birthday wishes. Please remember to to visit the FreePrintable.net Patreon page and consider becoming a member with a monthly pledge. Happy printing!
