This week, I’ve created something completely different: a printed Blackout Journal that you can buy on Amazon. I’ve had this idea for a long time: Wouldn't it be fun to have all black pages to write on, with gen pens or metallic Sharpies? But I didn't know how to do it as a printable without using a ton of ink. Then I realized I could design the journal as a printed book. And now here it is!
Also this week I wanted to give you a heads up for Halloween. The FreePrintable.net sites have hundreds if not
thousands of printables for this eerie holiday, from coloring pages to recipe cards to
certificates. I’ll do a bigger, spookier roundup later in the month.
Please take a moment to visit the FreePrintable.net Patreon page, where you can make a monthly pledge that will help me create even more new printables. I'm giving a copy of the Blackout Journal as a free present to everyone who is a Patreon supporter at the level of $10 a month or more. If you add or upgrade to that level of support by Oct. 15, you'll get one
too! | |

My family is having a great time with our Blackout Journals. My wife is making lists, our daughter is drawing, and I’m just being goofy. Pens glide over the smooth pages and make for a really neat effect; it’s almost like a glow-in-the-dark look. So far, we’ve tried colored gel pens, metallic Sharpies, and white pencils.
There are 120 pages in each journal, and you can choose lined or unlined paper. The books are a compact, portable 5.5” by 8.5” and neatly bound but lie flat for easy writing.
Blackout Journals are a relaxing medium for creative journalers, poets, and
notetakers. Kids can have lots of fun with them, too. Anyone who likes notebooks will love these Blackout Journals. They’re the perfect place to creatively record your next big idea.
Head to Amazon to buy the journals, which will be sent to you in the mail. They are only $7.99 and make a great gift
(hint, hint). The cover is matte finish for an elegant, professional
look.
