Kevin's FreePrintable.net news
The Makin' It Edition
I’m feeling creative! Last week, we headed to the Mini Maker Faire in Portland. Our 9-year-old got sparkly mermaid face paint and made a puppet that’s nearly Muppet-level. She and I learned how to pick locks (definitely a life skill). Then all of us goofed around in the “black light” room. If there’s a Maker event near you, be sure to check it out. There’s even 3D printing, which is more dimensions than generally offered via FreePrintable.net.

What’s new in printables this week? Coloring pages and cover letters. I’ve got you covered with fun stuff for kids as well as business-type stuff for grownups.

I want to send out an extra special thanks to those of you who have set up a monthly donation via the FreePrintable.net Patreon page. Your generosity supports the creation of even more free printables. Thanks so much!
Coloring Pages
Get out those crayons! I’ve just added 100 new coloring pages to FreePrintableColoringPages.net. All of the pages are free to download and print, making them perfect for home, school, child care centers, businesses, and so on.

Kids will love these newest coloring page designs, and of course grownups are welcome to join in the fun. There are new bird coloring pages, including a toucan, an owl, and an eagle. Other animals have been added too, many of them in “scenes” such as a goat eating flowers and a mouse playing the flute. There are also standalone dog and cat coloring sheets, ocean coloring pages, and a variety of horses, from formal to cute.

I’ve also added monster coloring pages as well as outer space pages (and monsters in space). There are new helicopter and airplane coloring pages along with vehicles. Plus, you’ll find dragons and dinosaurs. New school coloring pages include scenes with a school bus and art materials and a set of alphabet flash cards to color.

In nearly a month, Halloween will be here. But I’ve already added even more new coloring pages to the FreePrintableColoringPages.net Halloween coloring pages collection. The designs include funny witches, spooky Jack-o-lanterns, scary skulls, and creepy cats. Stay tuned for more coloring pages for upcoming holidays!

There are also new how-to-draw pages, where kids can learn to draw bears, cats, and sloths with the help of grids.

There are now 4,763 coloring pages free to download and print at FreePrintableColoringPages.net. Plus, enjoy hidden objects puzzles and find the differences images. If you’re looking for coloring pages especially for the older set, head to AdultColoringPages.net.
Cover Letters
While you’re surely familiar with the type of cover letters that complement a resume, my site CoverLetterExamples.net goes beyond that to include sample letters for a wide variety of business, legal, and personal situations.

I’ve just added nearly three dozen letters to the site and there are now 243 templates altogether.

The resume cover letters selection has been expanded to include sample language for applying for: a job abroad, a nanny role, and “any available position.” Other letters address maternity leave, a stay-at-home parent returning to the workforce, applicants with criminal backgrounds, and a former intern. There’s also a cover letter that references an attachment, one for when there’s no position being advertised, and a letter by someone seeking short-term work. Another letter is for a person wishing to “job shadow” a worker.

Other new additions address seeking to buy or rent a home. There’s example wording for someone applying to serve on a board of directors as well as letters to accompany an affidavit and an art gallery submission.
CoverLetterExamples.net also has articles with tips about how to write various types of cover letters. While you’re welcome to use the letters as-is in your personal dealings, they’re best seen as a jumping-off point, so you can  customize the letter with wording that best suits your own situation.

The letters are all free to download and print in DOC (Microsoft Word) format, or you can just cut and paste the text directly from the site.

Please keep sending me your ideas for new printables, especially for the holidays. I’m adding more all the time. And don’t forget to check out the FreePrintable.net Patreon page!  Becoming a member with a monthly pledge means that I can add even more new printables. Happy printing!

Sincerely,
