When you’re going through a hard time, writing a letter about it just adds to the stress. My
goal with LetterOfHardship.net is to provide easy-to-use templates that can jump-start your writing related to financial, legal, or other hardships. Just customize the sample text to suit your situation.
I’ve added 24 new sample hardship letters to the site. There are letters with
suggested wording for medical issues: an insurance appeal, donation of sick leave, and the threat of insurance cancellation.
There are several new letters relating to academics, including student loan deferment requests, appealing a low grade, requesting reconsideration for college admission, and an academic probation appeal letter.
New court-related letters cover
immigration issues as well as a desire for leniency in sentencing due to hardship. There are four new letters seeking to defer jury duty because of hardships such as breastfeeding, being a schoolteacher, or having transportation issues.
LetterOfHardship.net also has articles with tips on writing various types of hardship letters, from mortgage matters to immigration.
The
hardship letters are all free to download and print. They’re available in DOC format or simply cut and paste the text directly from the site.
