The Pie Edition

I was looking back at previous years’ Thanksgiving editions of this newsletter and found a pattern: I mostly talk about my family… and pie. I admit it. I am a big fan of almost all types of baked pies. Fortunately, my wife is a big fan of pie-making.

Around the holidays, my themed letterhead, stationery, and page borders are especially hot. I decided to take a look at which designs are being downloaded the most at PageBorders.net.

This week, the top two printables were Christmas page borders featuring bells, holly, and Christmas lights. Elsewhere in the Top 15 are poinsettia borders, a scene with a snow-covered house, and a tree with gifts. These are perfect not only for flyers but for holiday letter-writing.

The third most-downloaded printable is one of the aforementioned Thanksgiving borders with holiday foods and pilgrim hats.

Also in the Top 15 are designs not related to the holidays: a fancy decorative border, black and white and colorful borders, a cute insect border, a formal border with waves, a blue and purple border, and a confetti birthday border.

There are nearly 800 borders to choose from at PageBorders.net. They’re all free in DOC, PDF, JPG, and PNG forms. If you’re a graphic designer who’d like to alter the borders in Adobe Illustrator, the AI version is $7 per design.
