It’s that time of the year when I’m faced with the challenge of finding the perfect Halloween costume. I’ve been a
butterfly and a firefighter (with my Dalmatian, Louie!) in the past. This year, I’m stumped. Let me know if you have any ideas, because my daughter loves trick-or-treating and we all need to dress up. I’m listing a few of my favorite Halloween printables in this issue of the newsletter, but stay
tuned for an even more complete roundup in a couple of weeks.
I’ve also added new sample hardship letters to LetterOfHardship.net. These templates are a helpful starting point for difficult situations relating to, in most cases, financial
matters. | |

I recently told you about the new, free stationery I added to FreeLetterheadTemplates.net, but I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss that many of these new designs are Halloween-themed.
There’s some really cute (and slightly spooky) stuff in there: candy corn, Dracula, Jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, the bride and monster of Frankenstein, pumpkins, a bat, spiders, a witch, and more.
The Halloween letterhead, however, is just one example of the hundreds of Halloween-themed items at the FreePrintable.net sites. There’s a free option for everything, from certificates to coloring pages. The Halloween certificates at FreePrintableCertificates.net include awards for costume contests, pumpkin carving, bobbing for apples, and other fun stuff. Print a PDF version or pay $5 for an editable DOC file you can type into in Microsoft Word.
For gift-giving and food treats, check out the free Halloween gift tags at FreePrintableGiftTags.net. Halloween recipe cards are found at
FreePrintableRecipeCards.net. They’re free as PDFs or $7 for the premium DOC version. Head to FreePrintableColoringPages.net for Halloween coloring pages for home, school, day care, or for giving as treats instead of candy. They are all free
and include: a pumpkin with a mouse inside, a bag of bats, a creepy werewolf, trick-or-treating kids, a funny ghost, and lots more.
You’ll also find all kinds of masks at PrintableMasks.net that print in full color or ready-to-color with pens or pencils. There are 471 characters in all,
and they’re free. At HalloweenPrintables.net, there are more than 100 free printable Halloween games, mazes, coloring pages, and activities.

I’ve added about 20 new sample letters to LetterOfHardship.net, a site of mine that I hope you don’t have to use but I’m glad it’s there for you if you need it. A hardship letter is the common and most effective approach when financial or other special consideration is needed in a medical, business, academic, or other situation. These letter templates will get you started with wording, and you can customize it to suit your specific case.
There are new hardship letters
for medical issues such as difficulty affording braces or wisdom tooth removal and a need for lower-cost medication. The samples include wording for explaining financial setbacks and alternative payment suggestions.
New academic hardship letters address: AP and SAT exam fees, private school tuition, workshop costs, and crowdfunding for classroom needs. There are some non-monetary letters as well such as one covering the desire to redo
an assignment due to special circumstances and letters relating to school transfers and residency.
The court hardship letters category has expanded to include the need to drive despite a suspended license and an appeal of a fine assessed overseas due to a language barrier. There’s also a letter for seeking lower payments, a plea to a landlord when facing eviction, and a couple of fund-raising
letters.
LetterOfHardship.net has letters of appeal for insurance matters, billing errors, and more, along with tips on letter-writing. There are 182 letter templates in all.
Each letter downloads instantly as a DOC file, or you can simply cut and paste the wording directly from the
site.
I appreciate all your emails! Please send in your ideas for new printables. Happy printing!
