The Pinball Wizard Edition |
I got my geek on with like-minded geeks over the
weekend at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, where Atari and pinball still rule the day and there’s always someone ready to put up a quarter and challenge you to a game of Pac-Man. I could wax on about “homebrew” ’70s games or an epic lecture by the designer of Pong, but I know you’re here for printables so I will restrain myself.
A lot of new stuff was added this week: 50 new certificates at FreePrintableCertificates.net, plus even more coloring pages for grown-ups at AdultColoringPages.net. My certificates site is an old favorite, while the free coloring pages site is newer and the recipient of frequent updates as I expand the variety of designs

The new holiday certificates include awards for Best Costume and Bobbing For Apples, complementing the selection of Halloween certificates already at the site. An all-in-good-fun Ugly Sweater Contest has
been added to the Christmas certificates category, which also includes an array of gift
certificates.
FreePrintableCertificates.net also has new education certificates that are more like the awards you might see in a high school yearbook such as Best Smile, Cutest Couple, Most Creative, Most School Spirit and the quintessential Most
Likely to Succeed prize.
Just-added certificates for little kids include cute, dinosaur-illustrated “Dino-mite Job” awards and My First Tooth and No More Training Wheels commemorative certificates. And the new World’s Best certificates honor
stepdads, stepmoms and foster parents.
You’ll also find certificates for wedding participants such as the matron of honor and bridesmaids. The new sports certificates cover BMX biking, a half marathon, bodybuilding and golf. Rounding out the selection are
recognitions for: anger management, premarital counseling, sobriety, debate, artistry and equestrian skills as well as “first place” and other ordinal awards.
All of the certificates are free to download and print in PDF format. Just print one out and write on it in pen. If you’d like to type names and other information into the certificate before printing, a DOC (Microsoft Word) version is available for $5.

New Coloring Pages for Grown-ups

AdultColoringPages.net, my site where grown-ups can download and print free coloring pages, is getting so much positive feedback that I expect to be adding to
it quite frequently. I just put 20 more coloring pages up at the site, so there are now 60 to choose from, all free to download and print.
The coloring pages at this site are more detailed than those you’d find in a children’s coloring book. It’s relaxing to get out some fine-tipped pens or colored pencils and just zone out with a nature coloring page or an abstract pattern.
The new coloring pages include several geometric coloring pages with interlocking designs and kaleidoscope-style effects. I’m
also trying something new: colorable maps, where you can color in each tiny county or other feature of a geographic region. Chill out and learn at the same time!
I’ve also added new flower coloring pages, including boldly bordered
blooms that are especially fun to color with markers or even watercolors (print on cardstock or other heavy weight paper).
