This week marked the anniversary of the day I got my
very own piano. I’ve been taking keyboard lessons for quite some time, but there’s something special about having a really, truly upright piano, all shiny and glossy with its 88 keys. My still-unnamed piano and I celebrated with a rendition of Happy Birthday, now that the song no longer commands royalties.
Besides piano nostalgia, this week, you’ll find new maps at PrintableWorldMap.net. Also, I wanted to give you an early heads-up on Thanksgiving printables, so you can get started on your holiday grocery list, thank you notes, and other stuff. | |

There’s an Electoral College map of the United States indicating how many electors each state has in presidential elections, a map of the world’s major volcanoes, and tectonic plate locations. Also, there are new variations on states and
capitals, plus maps indicating major U.S. cities.
I’ve also added new historical maps, including a color-coded map indicating U.S. acquired territories, the order of statehood, the Civil War states, and Magellan’s route.
Other new maps indicate each ocean and the nations that border it. Similarly, you’ll find maps indicating other bodies of water (such as the Baltic, Black, and Caspian seas as well as major gulfs) and the surrounding countries or states.
Complementing the constellation maps are new maps of the solar system, in both full-color and fill-in-the-blanks version. In fact, many of the maps at PrintableWorldMap.net come in both labeled map and blank fill-in versions, making them great for use in school lessons.
All of the maps are free to download and print in PDF and/or editable DOC form. Or, if you’d like to have the entire collection of 165 maps on hand in one convenient download, opt for the premium $9 download.

Keep kids busy while you’re cooking by setting out cute Thanksgiving coloring
pages from FreePrintableColoringPages.net. These are also great for school, or for businesses to set out with crayons during the holiday seasons. There are even more to choose from, including games and activities, at ThanksgivingPrintables.net. Teachers can also use the Thanksgiving writing prompts at FreeWritingPrompts.net as story-starters for classroom writing projects.
Thanksgiving is a time to share gratitude, and if you’re looking for the right words, the sample thank you letters at ThankYouLetter.ws can help jump-start your notes. I also have Thanksgiving letterhead at FreeLetterheadTemplates.net.
All of the Thanksgiving printables have a free option, while some (such as recipe
cards) are a few dollars for editable DOC versions.
Please keep sending me emails! I appreciate your ideas for new printables, and even new sites.
