Last week, on my way back from jazz camp in Louisville, Kentucky, my
flight got cancelled, I missed my connection, and was stuck in Chicago overnight. The unexpected detour ended up being pretty fun! There was an anime convention going on at the hotel and attendees were dressed up in all kinds of costumes. I’m nerdy enough that the “cosplay” looked like a blast, but I’m old enough that I also felt sadly too old to participate.

There’s also a nice selection of hobbyist rulers for various scales such as one-inch, 144th-inch, N-scale, OO-scale, Z-scale, and several others. They’re great for model train enthusiasts, dollhouse collectors,
and more.
Another new addition is a printable meterstick that comes in sections that you’ll need to cut out and piece together with tape. Similarly, there’s now a 60-inch measuring tape printable that can help you out in a pinch.
There’s no need to hunt around for a ruler, or waste money on a
specialty measuring tool you’ll only use for one school assignment or home project. Just print and cut out a paper ruler and get to measuring! You could also choose to print on cardstock or laminate your ruler for durability if you plan to use it long-term.
There are now 34 rulers and drawing tools altogether at PrintableRulers.net, with more to come. A special thanks goes out to those of you who have emailed to let me know which printable measuring tools you’d like to see next. So far, I’ve got metric and standard rulers,
protractors, and even pica and point size page layout rulers. And remember: everything at PrintableRulers.net is free to download and print.

There are now nearly 500 recipe cards at the site, featuring everything from kitchen scenes to holidays. There’s also a set of monogram recipe cards. Most of the cards are available in both 3-by-5-inch and 4-by-6 versions, and some can be printed in 8-by-10 size as well, for placing in a recipe binder.
There are several options if you’d like to download and use these recipe cards. They’re all free, in either lined or unlined
versions, if you just need a PDF you can print out and handwrite upon. But if you want to type into a card before printing, the premium DOC version is $7 per design. With the DOC version, you can use Microsoft Word or another compatible program to edit and print your card again and again.
Please keep sending me your ideas for new printables. I really appreciate your input. Thanks and happy printing!
