July 4 is almost here in the U.S. (well, everywhere, actually). My family’s
Independence Day plans will probably involve a few sparklers since the weather isn’t as dry as officials feared and the ban against fireworks here in the Portland, Oregon area was lifted. You know what’s almost as exciting as fireworks? Fourth of July coloring pages. And I’ve got plenty of those.
In this week’s newsletter, I’ve rounded up links to the most popular July 4 printables.
Also, at FreePrintableFlags.com, you’ll find a selection of new flags, but this time they’re signal flags rather than country or state
flags. | |

There are quite a few Independence Day printables from which to choose at my various FreePrintable.net sites.
Kids (and grownups,
too) will enjoy the Fourth of July coloring pages at FreePrintableColoringPages.net. There are images of fireworks, flags, eagles, patriotic kids, and more. The site also has a wide selection of history coloring pages.
I’ve also got flag business cards and letterhead at FreePrintableBusinessCards.net and FreePrintableStationery.net, perfect for patriotic dealings as well as for
those serving in political offices.
You’ll find flag-themed printables at FreePrintableCertificates.net, too. But of course, Independence Day is about more than fireworks and barbecues. This site also has ribbon service certificates to honor those who have served the country in the U.S. military, or otherwise lent support.
The coloring pages, stationery and banners are all free to download and print. The other printables I’ve
mentioned have both free and paid, premium options.

My new-ish site FreePrintableFlags.com isn’t limited to geographic flags of countries or states. With the addition of 26 new flags, there’s now a category of signal flags for each letter of the alphabet.
The signal flags are traditionally used as a way for ships to communicate with one another letter-by-letter, but the flags can also be used for entertainment, just as a fun code.
Starting with the blue and white “Alpha” flag all the way to the four-color “Zulu” flag, each flag is available in four styles: color and outline, and with or without the signal name printed beneath the
flag.
The signal flags complement the flags from North America, Europe, and elsewhere to make this site handy for a variety of purposes.
All of the flags are free to download and print, in full color or colorable “outline” form. There are now 207 from which to choose.
I hope you’re having a wonderful summer. Remember, printables are great for long road trips. Happy printing!
