Snap To It Edition

Let's get straight to the printables! This week, the back-to-school onslaught continues with a whopping 50 new teachers' printables added to InstantWorksheets.net. Most of them are geography-related, so students can learn about the world in which they live. Plus, with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, starting at sundown on Sept. 24, I've added new calendars to PrintableJewishCalendar.com for Hebrew year 5775, as well as 2015 calendars that also display Jewish holidays and dates.

Instant Worksheets

I've added 50 new printables to InstantWorksheets.net, all ready to instantly download and print for free in PDF or DOC (Microsoft Word) format.

Many of the sheets are illustrated with flags to identify, and there are also black-and-white versions for students to color. Several of the new worksheets are based on the idea that arranging facts in alphabetical order helps solidify them in learners' minds. These worksheets include lines for alphabetizing words related to social studies subjects such as: presidents, government branches, and historical figures.

Other new worksheets are intended to be used to learn geography alongside maps or globes to identify characteristics about various countries and regions, such as bordering nations, capitals, cities, geographic features, and more. South America, North America, Greece, and Germany are among the areas covered on these sheets.

Answer keys are included on a convenient separate sheet, also free.

InstantWorksheets.net has more than 880 worksheets covering everything from preschool-level alphabet worksheets to literature, writing, and math worksheets for more advanced students. There is also a large selection of printables for English as a Second Language students.

While all of the sheets are available for free, the site also has a subscription option. Those who pay $4 a month get access to members-only content, including navigation of the site without advertisements and unlimited use of the Custom Math Worksheet Generator. With the generator, teachers can produce random or patterned problems covering addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. There's also an option for students to fill in the sign or simplify fractions.

Jewish Calendars

Rosh Hashanah, celebrated by those of the Jewish faith starting at sundown on Sept 24., marks the start of the Jewish new year. I've added calendars for Hebrew year 5775 to PrintableJewishCalendar.com.

There are several variations of calendars ready for instant download at the site, including 5775 calendars that also note the corresponding Gregorian dates. The 2015 calendars are also ready, with variations that include Jewish holidays or both the holidays and Hebrew dates.

Site users can also make their own calendar variations using the Jewish calendar generator. Like everything at the site, the calendar maker is free.

PrintableJewishCalendar.com is a sister site to my 2014 calendars and 2015 calendars sites Printable2014calendars.com and Printable2015calendars.com.

Thank you very much for your emails and suggestions for new printables. Please let me know what you'd like to see next. Happy printing!
