With one daughter starting second grade and another starting college (just guess which one stresses me out more), I have back to school on the brain. Recently I added to TeachersPrintables.net as well as PrintablePaper.net, and InstantWorksheets.net, and I have even more new stuff to share for teachers and students. I was able to "chill out" a bit over the weekend at a Negativland concert that brought me back to
my own younger days. Sometimes I like my music like I like my printables: experimental. There are a bunch of new flash cards up at PrintableFlashCards.net, and I also wanted to remind you about the cool flash card maker at the site. Also this week you'll find lined shapes for all 50 states at WritingTemplates.net. | |

Printable Flash Cards |
I launched PrintableFlashCards.net back in 2011 with a few dozen flash cards, and now thanks to site users, there are more than 300 free flash cards at the site, all easy to instantly download and print. The free flash card maker is very popular. It's easy to input your own questions and answers and instantly generate a set of flash cards with four or six cards per page. Then, study for grade school, high school, college courses, or just to build you mind. The 15 new additions include medical, scientific, and music flash cards. There are health-related cards dealing with old age, microbiology, and the circulatory
system, among other topics. The music cards deal in terminology and history. There are also new flash cards for: Poetry Types, Social Hierarchy, Nouns, and Trucker Terminology. Other card sets at the site range from math flash cards to language cards to cards for preschoolers. PrintableFlashCards.net is the sister site of FreeWordSearch.net, which has thousands of word searches on an array of subjects
as well as a free word search maker that offers varying sizes and degrees of
difficulty.

Writing Templates |
Also popular at back-to-school time are the blank, lined templates at WritingTemplates.net. I've just added state writing templates with outlines of each of the 50 states. They're perfect for assignments in which students write about state history, state attributes, and other subjects unique to the United States. The new state templates feature each state's flag in full color and also have room to add the placement of the capital and major cities, and they can also fill in the population, major figures, and the state flower, bird, and motto. There are now 170 handwriting templates at WritingTemplates.net, illustrated with animals, foods, letters of the alphabet, sports, and other topics. Many are lined, ensuring that children will get a chance to practice neat handwriting. Each of the
writing templates is free to download and print one at a time, or opt for the convenience of downloading the entire writing template collection for
$20.
I really appreciate all of your
feedback and ideas for new printables. Please email and let me know what you'd like to see next. Happy printing!
