Word Up Edition

My fun-filled week included family time, a retro computer festival, and my 20th anniversary. My wife does a million different things, but her latest obsession is making delicious ice creams and sorbets. One of our favorites has been the chocolate blood orange sorbet. I wish I could print out its taste and send it to you, but sadly the technology just isn't there yet.

In the midst of all that, I added 22 new how-to guides and charts to SwiftTips.com. There are also new word search puzzles up at FreeWordSearch.net.

New SwiftTips

I'm so pleased with the response to SwiftTips.com in the few months since I launched the site. The how-to guides and illustrated charts have been downloaded many times as well as shared on Pinterest and elsewhere.

These helpful charts range from guides to cleaning and household tasks to measurement conversion charts. This week, I added 22 new printables to the site, including two new categories: Technology and Music.

The technology charts include keyboard shortcuts for various computer programs, texting abbreviations, digital storage and image resolution conversion charts, and more. The music category includes fingering charts showing the positions for several different instruments, and you'll find guitar chord charts there as well.

Kitchen charts continue to be quite popular as well. These printable tip sheets make it easier to perform step-by-step tasks such as tying a tie or changing the oil in your car. Many are illustrated. Some are lists of information you'll want to print and post to refer to again and again.

Everything at SwiftTips.com is free and downloads instantly in PDF form. There are now 63 tips to choose from, with more on the way.

Word Search Puzzles

FreeWordSearch.net has grown to more than 2,100 free word search puzzles, thanks to contributions from site users.

Nearly 30 new word searches were recently added to the site, in an array of categories ranging from History to Entertainment to Sports.

They're a fun way for kids or adults to study up facts or just exercise your mind. Here are some of the newest puzzle topics: Bay of Pigs, Writers of the Bible, the Gold Rush, Social Media, Extreme Sports, Illinois, Picnic Lunch, Venus, Cyrano de Bergerac, Lincoln, Cell Reproduction, The 50s, Biodiversity, and Black Holes.

It's free to make your own puzzle. Just type in the words you want to appear on the puzzle, and choose from four sizes and four difficulty levels. You can choose to have words positioned backward, diagonally, and even with misspelled versions of your words mixed in with the correct spelling.

If you create a puzzle on FreeWordSearch.net, it may get posted to the site for everyone to download and enjoy!

It's been a crazy summer here at FreePrintable.net, but I have many more printables on the way. Please send me your ideas. Thanks and happy printing!
