Musical Edition

I am so jazzed! I just spent a few days at jazz camp playing music with an old friend, along with a bunch of well-regarded musicians. Yes, I am a man of many interests. But I didn't ignore the printables. This week, there are new printables at both of my sites relating to open-source word processing programs: OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOfficeTemplates.net. Also, there are new sample letters up at LettersOfRecommendation.net, which is one of my first sites to feature letter templates.

Open Office Templates

In the year since I launched OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOfficeTemplates.net, both have become go-to sites for anyone who needs to print forms and templates, but doesn't own Microsoft Word. While many of the printables from my FreePrintable.net sites open just fine with any DOC-compatible program, sometimes the open-source solutions Open Office and Libre Office can be picky. That's why I've made available select certificates, resumes, family trees, and other popular printables intended to be opened specifically in the aforementioned programs' native .ODT and .ODS format.

There are 26 new templates at each site. The new additions include: three family tree variations, illustrated fax cover sheets, a flyer, several invoice templates, a password tracker, legal pleading paper, receipts, a time card, medical forms, and an assortment of checklists and to-do lists.

OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOfficeTemplates.net each have nearly 100 printables ranging from school-related templates to medical forms to letterhead. Everything at both sites is absolutely free to download and print.

Recommendation Letters

Sure, YOU know you're great, but when it comes to getting a job, scholarship, leadership role, and so forth, at some point you're probably going to need a letter of recommendation. You're in luck, because I've just added 18 new letter templates to LettersOfRecommendation.net.

The site has both personal and professional recommendation letters, from job- and education-related letters to character references for adoption, parole, custody, immigration, renting, club membership, and more.

The new letters include sample letters of recommendation for such situations as: a gun permit, a restaurant review, child care services, camp counseling, student teaching, student loans, and coaching. New job-related letters address situations such as firing or layoff.

There are now 175 sample letters at LettersOfRecommendation.net, along with articles and tips on how to write a letter of recommendation, or how to ask one to write a letter on your behalf.

Thanks, those of you who have sent me ideas for new printables and even new sites. I have new things on the way for you soon. Happy printing!
