What the Doctor Ordered Edition

My medical forms site is one of the most personally rewarding of the 90-plus printables sites I publish. I just get so much feedback from people who find that the charts, logs, and other forms help them keep track of their health, run their business, or otherwise make their lives run a little more smoothly. I actually got the idea for this site several years ago while at a doctor's visit. My physician was lamenting the fact that her staff had to spend time creating various basic forms from scratch; there just weren't enough resources out there with decent, affordable medical office forms. Since 2009, FreePrintableMedicalForms.com has expanded to include all kinds of health-related trackers and other useful printables.

This week, I added 23 medical forms to FreePrintableMedicalForms.com and 25 recipe cards to FreePrintableRecipeCards.net. (By the way, there was a bit of a technical glitch this week, and rather than Tuesday you're getting this newsletter on Thursday. Enjoy!)

New Medical Forms

FreePrintableMedicalForms.com has nearly two dozen new medical forms, logs, charts, office signs, and more to download and print.

I've found that medical logs are among the most popular printables at the site, and thanks in part to suggestions from users, I've added a new batch of medical forms that includes: an anticoagulation dosing calendar, a bladder log, and motor activity logs as well as new variations of blood sugar charts and logs for people with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. There's also a diabetes plan for school, a pump logbook, and an injection site rotation chart.

School nurses can make use of a head lice results form (four print out on each page). For kids, there's a colorful, illustrated emergency contacts sheet to post by the phone.

New to FreePrintableMedicalForms.com are signs for doctor's offices and other health care settings that point out the policies for copays. There's also a printable "superbill" as well as several consent forms and reports related to various tests, family planning, and travel immunizations. Rounding out the new additions are a new calorie counter, a bicycling log, and a period tracker.

Each of the medical forms is free to download and print in PDF form. Just write on the forms in pen and pencil. If you'd like to type into or otherwise alter the forms before printing, opt for the $3.99 premium DOC version for Microsoft Word and other compatible programs, or download the entire collection of 338 medical forms for $47.

New Recipe Cards

I'm serving up 25 tasty new recipe cards at FreePrintableRecipeCards.net. Many of the just-added designs feature full-color illustrations of desserts and sweet treats such as: chocolate chips, candies, doughnuts, ice cream, and cookies.

Other new recipe cards show muffins, cooking pots, garlic, a glass of wine, a hamburger, and international recipe cards such as a Chinese dragon and German foods.

There are now 357 cards at the site, including holiday recipe cards, monogram recipe cards, and other themed designs. Also, be sure to check out the canning labels at PrintableLabels.net as well as the menu planners at FreePrintableGroceryList.com.

Each of the cards is available in both 3-by-5 and 4-by-6 versions, lined or unlined. Many of the cards, including the new additions, are also available as full-page 8-by-10s. You can print them onto paper, cardstock, or Avery brand index cards or postcards. The cards are free in PDF format that you can print out and write upon, old-school style. If you want to be able to type directly onto the recipe card to customize and print again and again (a great option for cookie exchanges, potlucks, and family favorites), a DOC version is available for $7 per design.

Thank you very much for sending me your ideas for new printables. As you can see, users like you are the inspiration for my sites. Happy printing!
