Cookie Monster Edition

I am so full of cookies! My first-grader decided to do her science fair project on chocolate chip cookies, investigating which of six different flours resulted in the yummiest cookies, and whether the flour used made the cookies look different from one another. Six batches is a LOT of cookies. We had friends coming over to taste-test so our daughter could chart the results. I'm no scientist, but I determined that all the cookies were delicious.

This week, I've added 40 new varieties of specialty paper to PrintablePaper.net, including a selection of craft-related papers. There are also 50 new CD/DVD labels up at PrintableLabels.net for all your computer and music-related projects. Enjoy!

New Printable Paper

The free craft paper is one of the most popular styles of printables at PrintablePaper.net. Years ago, I started getting messages from crafters who were using the graph paper to plot out their projects. But they had special requests in terms of spacing and size. So I started adding papers for quilting, knitting, and beadwork. The newest category, added this week, is cross-stitch paper. There are 28 varieties, with varying numbers of lines per inch or per division.

I've added 40 new papers this week. Other new additions include a blank history timeline, evidence data paper, a Hiragana chart (for practicing Japanese handwriting), and more variations of colored lined paper especially for people with special needs such as dysgraphia and dyslexia or scotopic sensitivity that makes white paper appear too bright.

The new paper is free to download and print! There are now 1,271 papers to choose from at the site, from lined and penmanship paper to music paper to games and score sheets and practically everything in between. Each of the papers has a free option; a few (such as printable budgets) are offered as both a free PDF and a $4 editable version.

Printable Labels

PrintableLabels.net continues to branch out from address labels, mailing labels, and canning labels. I've added 50 new, circular labels sized to fit CDs and DVDs. They're perfect for your computer archiving and music projects.

The new disc labels come in various colors and designs, such as: swirling music notes, a circular keyboard, headphones, clouds, and more. They print two per page, and are set up to fit the three of the most popular styles of adhesive disc label paper by Avery and other companies. Both the PDF and DOC versions are free. Opt for the DOC if you'd like to edit the label in Microsoft Word or another compatible program, typing in information about what's on the disk.

Some of the CD and DVD labels have designs that are not only decorative, but make them easily identifiable for specific uses. For example, there's a disc with a Linux penguin. Other designs have an image of a camera or film, indicating that photos are saved on the disk.

Like everything else on the site, the new labels are free to download and print. There are 247 labels to choose from, in all kinds of themes, for home and office use.

Thanks so much for sending me your ideas for new printables. Please keep 'em coming. Don't send cookies, though. Happy printing!
