True Love Edition

Snow! I'm buried in snow! It's been a weird but fun week here in Portland, with people actually skiing and snowboarding past our house. I took my daughter sledding, and the dog loves, loves romping around in the snow. (The cats, not as much.) We've been stuck in the house for days -- it wasn't safe to drive. We ran out of various foodstuffs (like hot cocoa!) and we had to switch up our younger daughter's birthday party. All in all, it's been an eventful and memorable week.

Thanks, those of you who sent in ideas for truly terrible movies my wife and I could watch for our Valentine's Day tradition. One of the top contenders: Valentine's Day, a 2010 movie directed by Garry Marshall. FreePrintable.net user Christopher S. describes it as a "mess." Howard the Duck, Drop Dead Fred, Going Overboard, and Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla were also among the suggestions. Sharknado had multiple votes. I'll tell you next week what film we finally decide on.

Even through the storm, my Internet connection held steady, so I've added 20 new Valentine's Day printables (cards and gift tags). There are also 26 new apology letters at ApologyLetters.net. This combination is entirely coincidental!

New Valentines

It's a time for love... and new printables. I've added 20 new Valentine's Day printables: cards at FreePrintableValentines.net and gift tags at FreePrintableGiftTags.net.

The new Valentine's cards include Cupids, lovebirds, candy, and roses. There are also some new designs for school Valentines for kids that print with as many as 10 on each sheet of paper (just cut them apart to give to friends). The cards can be downloaded and printed for free as a PDF, while a customizable DOC version can be purchased for $4 and edited in Microsoft Word.

There are now more than 150 printables at FreePrintableValentines.net. Besides cards, there are new kid-friendly activities such as a heart-shaped maze, a memory game, and IOU or romantic coupons.

Several of the new designs at FreePrintableGiftTags.net match the cards, and there are also cupcakes, hearts, flowers, and more. All of the gift tags are free in either PDF or DOC form.

Also, there's the new Valentine's Day borders I mentioned last week. They're at PageBorders.net, and feature hearts, cupcakes, flowers, teddy bears, and Cupids.

There are Valentine's Day printables at my other sites, such as recipe cards at FreePrintableRecipeCards.net, place cards at PrintablePlaceCards.net and romance-themed certificates at FreePrintableCertificates.net. All have a free version; in some cases an editable DOC is a few dollars.

Kids will love the 85 Valentine's Day coloring pages at FreePrintableColoringPages.net. For teachers and writers, there are holiday writing prompts at FreeWritingPrompts.net.

I hope you "love" these printables. Happy Valentine's Day!

New Apology Letters

If love meant never having to say you're sorry, there wouldn't be a need for apology letters. My site, ApologyLetters.net, has 136 sample letters when you need to say you're sorry for business or personal missteps.

These templates are a great jumpstart for writing your own, sincere apology. (Or, in a few cases, an insincere apology. I'll never tell!) Just download the letter of your choice, open it with a DOC-compatible word processor, and edit it to suit your situation. Or, simply cut and paste the text directly from the site.

The newest letters address a wide variety of situations ranging from dog bites to vehicle damage. There are also new letters for personal failings or oversights, including: breaking someone's trust or losing a borrowed item. Social faux pas are also covered: not attending a funeral, being rude in church, flirting inappropriately

New letters addressing professional misbehavior include apologies for: libel, slander, misconduct, false accusations, and emailing someone in error. There are letters intended to be sent from a business to a customer, such as apologies for damaged goods, shipping to the wrong address, and shipping the wrong item.

I've also added special-situation apologies, such as a sample apology letter in which the writer does not admit guilt. There also three new letter templates for children addressing a bad attitude, forgery, or wasting someone's time.

ApologyLetters.net also has several articles with tips on how to write an apology, such as what to include and what to avoid. All of the sample letters are free, as are apologies.

Thanks so much for your ideas, emails, and for enjoying my printables. Happy printing!
