Shopping Cart Edition

We're coming up on Valentine's Day, which means I'm soliciting suggestions for a goofy tradition I have with my wife: Watching a really, really awful movie on Feb. 14. Since the unintentional inaugural year of our little film fest in 1993 (Addam's Family Values), we've tolerated such rotten tomatoes as: Solarbabies, Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, From Justin to Kelly, and Bio-Dome. So, please drop me an email if you know of any real stinkers we can watch this year.

I'll have a full round-up of Valentine's Day printables in next week's newsletter, but for now I'd like to tell you about 20 new page borders (including Valentine's Day designs) at PageBorders.net as well as 30 grocery lists at FreePrintableGroceryList.com

New Grocery Lists

FreePrintableGroceryList.com has more than 130 free shopping lists and menu planners this week, due to the addition of 30 brand-new, money-saving printables. I've added new variations of basic, checkbox-style grocery lists as well as lists tailored to special diets, shopping lists for kids, and money-saving tools such as grocery budgets, multi-store planners, and coupon organizers.

The new kid-friendly shopping lists include two colorable menu planners, which make meals fun as kids feel more involved in the eating choices. There are also full-color, illustrated grocery lists for kids as well as a "What's for Dinner" sign for the whole family. I've added several new menu planners, such as designs with room for an entire month of dinners (great for freezer meal planning) or a month of packed lunches. There's even a pocket menu planner.

For coupon clippers, there are new coupon-based grocery lists and lists that sort the shopping by store. The budget-list combos are especially helpful for money-conscious shoppers.

There are also new lists in the holiday grocery lists category, for Easter, Passover, and Fourth of July. I've added a new list that sorts foods by type, and you'll also find a master grocery list with all healthful foods.

I continue to add to the popular category of specialty grocery lists. Complementing the selection of shopping lists for people with allergies or those on gluten-free or vegetarian diets are: a low-calorie snacks list, a list of non-alcoholic beverages, and a list full of good foods for nursing mothers. Please let me know what I'm missing in this category. I'll be adding even more lists in the future.

Everything at FreePrintableGroceryList.com is free to download and print in PDF or DOC form. With the DOC versions, you can type your shopping list or menu items directly onto the list before printing, using Microsoft Word or another DOC-compatible program.

New Page Borders

Most of the 20 new additions to PageBorders.net are heart-themed and thus perfect for Valentine's Day correspondence, flyers, photo frames, and more. There's a string of hearts, heart flowers, cupids with teddy bears, Valentine candies, and colorful combinations of the aforementioned.

Other new designs include party hats and cupcakes, both of which would be ideal for birthdays. There are also new, simple mosaic, pastel, and orange heart borders.

With the newest additions, there are now 325 borders at the site. There are both formal and informal borders as well as school-themed borders, sports borders, borders inspired by nature, and even dog borders featuring various breeds.

There are several options for downloading and printing the borders at PageBorders.net. They're free in four different formats: DOC, PDF, PNG, or JPG. If you'd like a version you can edit with Adobe Illustrator, the AI version is available for many designs for $7 each.

Thanks again for all your ideas for new printables, and thanks especially for the personal feedback. I truly enjoy sharing these printables with you. Happy printing!
