Fingerspelling Edition

So here's my week so far. Monday, my older daughter didn't have school due to teachers' conferences or something. But my younger daughter did have school. At least, she was supposed to, but we thought that she had the day off too. Instead we spent the day watching cartoons and going to the science museum. Can't decide if that was a parenting fail, or a win. Then, Tuesday came around (which felt like a Monday) and I forgot to send the newsletter out, because, well, it was still Monday, right? (Right?)

So here's the Tuesday. . . er, Wednesday, newsletter. The rest of the week is going to make more sense. Right? (Right?)

I'm pleased to announce my newest site, SignLanguagePrintables.com. It has more than 145 illustrated printables, including individual letters and numbers as well as groups of signs. These designs are unique to this site, and free to download and print. Also this week, I've added dozens of new contracts to PrintableContracts.com.

Sign Language Printables

SignLanguagePrintables.com has launched with 145 printables, and I already have plans to add even more. The printables include illustrations of the American Sign Language (ASL) fingerspelling representations of all the letters in the alphabet as well as the numbers one through nine.

The site has both labeled and unlabeled versions of the signs for students or others who want to use them to practice their signing skills. All of the manual alphabets are also available in simple black-and-white outline as well as a filled, color version. Besides individual letters, the site also has all of the signs laid out on a full sheet for letter-sized paper.

All of the signs at SignLanguagePrintables.com are free to download and print, and are in PDF form. If you'd like to save time and have access to the entire sign language collection in one convenient download (and save it to your computer's hard drive), that option is available for $9.

New Contracts

I've added 36 new contract templates to PrintableContracts.com. These forms span a wide range: legal agreements for businesses, employee policies, contracts with kids, and more.

The newest business-related printables include: common stock certificate, indemnification agreement, and right of first refusal agreement. There are also HR forms such as: computer policy, drug and alcohol policy, employee evaluation policy, fraternization policy, grievance policy, jury duty policy, nondiscrimination policy, overtime policy, and several more.

Parents, teachers, and caregivers can make use of: a grade contract, tutoring contract, and yearbook contract. I've also added contracts to the personal relationships category, involving cohabitation and conflict resolution.

Other new additions include contracts for: wedding planners, gardeners, remodeling, dog breeding, commission of artwork, and sharing costs of a fence with a neighbor. There are even a few contracts one can make with oneself, as a motivational tool, involving: exercise, healthy eating, and quitting smoking.

PrintableContracts.com has nearly 300 contracts for everything from events, household and professional services, real estate, and jobs to health and medical directives and wills. There are also several articles with tips on how to write a contract.

I need to mention the usual caveats: These forms aren't meant to be legal advice. Consult an attorney if you need one. Also, don't consider a contract with a child to be legally binding. Ha!

All of the contracts are free. You can download a DOC version you can open and edit in Microsoft Word or another compatible word processor, or simply cut and paste the text directly from PrintableContracts.com.

Thank you so much for sending me your ideas for new printables. I have lots more on the way. Thirty thousand printables is not enough! Happy printing!
