Movie Star Edition

There were a strange few days at my house last week. I let people from a TV show called Grimm take over my house for three days, to film a scene in my living room. On Tuesday, a crew of set designers came in and re-did the look of the living space, changing it from family-with-kids-and-pets to a house befitting a single older manly-man, all leather and chrome. On Wednesday, they shot the scenes. The scene, which will probably be three minutes on the show, took hours to shoot. The scenes included a fistfight and an interrogation! Thursday, they swooped in again to change everything back and clean up after themselves. It was a fun experience. I got to meet a lot of interesting people, and get a glimpse into how TV is made.

I hope you've had a chance to try out my fun site, FreeWordSearch.net, where you can make your own word search or download any of the more than 1,700 puzzles already created and shared by users of the site. I just added even more puzzles, all free. Also, there are new sample letters up at LetterOfHardship.net, for people who need to explain special circumstances in various venues.

New Word Searches

People use my site FreeWordSearch.net for all kinds of cool stuff, making puzzles for study guides, family reunions, businesses, and everything in between. I really appreciate site visitors who create word searches, and I share the best ones that are of broad interest for others to enjoy.

I recently added another few dozen  word searches to the site, so there are now 1,745 to choose from. The puzzles are organized by categories such as: Animals, Entertainment, Geography, Holidays, Music, and Sports. The newest puzzles include the topics of: The Common Cold, Geography Vocabulary, Hand Hygiene (always important), Phythagorean Theorem, Declaration of Independence, Pearl Harbor, Motorcycle Engines, Pioneer Times, Ancient History, and Topographic Map Vocab.

Or, just use the word search creator You can choose from different sizes as well as difficulty level, such as whether words can be positioned backward, diagonally, or even with similar words misspelled elsewhere in the puzzle. Just type in the words you want to use, and your puzzle will be generated instantly.

The word search creator is free, as are the existing puzzles. Just download and print. FreeWordSearch.net is a sister site to TeachersPrintables.net and PrintableFlashCards.net.

New Letters of Hardship

I've added 26 new sample letters to LetterOfHardship.net, a site that offers templates for letters relating to seeking exemptions, usually based on financial or personal circumstances, in situations such as mortgage refinancing, medical bills, and other tough situations.

The newest hardship letters address real estate, health care, academic issues, immigration, and more. There are eight letters relating to mortgage payment issues, addressing short sales, eviction proceedings, and other issues.

To use a letter, download the one that best suits your situation. The letters are DOC format so you can type into them using Microsoft Word and adjust the verbiage. Or simply cut and paste the text from the site.

There's also a new article with tips on how to write a hardship letter. Other articles at LetterOfHardship.net address specific cases such as mortgages, student loans, and legal issues.

Everything at the site is free. LetterOfHardship.net complements my other letter sites, which include complaint letters, thank you letters, letters of recommendation, character reference letters, apology letters, goodbye letters, and condolence letters.

Please keep sending me your ideas for new printables. I appreciate your emails. Thanks and happy printing!
