Christmas Edition

Ho, ho, ho-boy! It's Christmas Eve. One of my best childhood Christmas morning memories is the year I got an Intellivision video game console. I spent many happy hours of my pre-teen years playing Space Armada.

I'm pretty sure those of you who celebrate Christmas are too busy prepping and having fun to want to read about business-type printables. So, in that spirit, I bring you my annual Christmas printables roundup. The FreePrintable.net sites have Christmas morning letters from Santa, cards, coloring pages, gift tags, certificates, and much, much more.

Also, remember to start 2014 off right with a free printable calendar from Printable2014Calendars.com.

Christmas Printables

Don't worry! There's no need to run to the store on Christmas Eve. You can instantly download and print stocking stuffers, greeting cards, fun holiday certificates, gift tags, and even Christmas morning letters from Santa.

At SantaPrintables.com, there's a nice selection of Santa letters especially for Christmas morning. They can be rolled up and stuffed in a stocking, or set out by some half-devoured cookies and milk. In these letters, Santa wishes a Merry Christmas or explains unusual circumstances, such as difficulty getting a hard-to-find toy. There are versions thanking kids for the treats and even letters from Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, and that ubiquitous Elf on the Shelf. Several of the letters reference Jesus and the significance of the holiday to Christians. Each letter is free as PDFs or $5 for a customizable DOC version you can edit in Microsoft Word. The site also has dozens of free printable Christmas games, puzzles, cards, and an advent calendar.

For even more fun, head over to FreePrintableColoringPages.net for dozens of Christmas coloring pages, including gingerbread men, reindeer, stockings, elves, and much more. Its sister site, BibleColoringPages.org, has a hundreds of religious coloring pages to choose from, also free. For holiday dot-to-dot puzzles, head to DotToDots.net.

For a fun gift or addition to a stocking, be sure to check out the Christmas certificates at FreePrintableCertificates.net. There are traditional illustrated gift certificates, a Christmas IOU (great for when a present is out of stock), "nice" certificates, awards for best Christmas decorations, and a "Santa's Little Helper" prize. There's also a "naughty" certificate as well as a joke "lump of coal" for certain grown-ups in your life. The certificates are free as PDFs, or $5 for a version you can type into before printing out.

For your gift-wrapping needs, visit FreePrintableGiftTags.net, where you'll find gift tags with snowmen, nutcrackers, wreaths, and other full-color holiday illustrations. If it's last-minute Christmas cards you require, visit SantaPrintables.com or FreePrintableGreetingCards.net. When it comes to letterhead, you'll find lots to choose from at FreeLetterheadTemplates.net as well as FreePrintableStationery.net. I recently added several new Christmas stationery designs.

Consider printable bookmarks and bookplates from FreePrintableBookmarks.net as a stocking stuffer or an addition to a gift of a book. If you're giving baked treats, attach a recipe card from FreePrintableRecipeCards.net. Plus, PrintableLabels.net has canning jar labels with Santa and poinsettia designs.

Finally, after the gifts are opened, it's time for the thank you notes. I have lots of examples at ThankYouLetter.ws, including prompts to help children find the words they need to express their gratitude. Merry Christmas!

Next week, I'll talk about New Year's printables and a new year in which I plan to add thousands of new printables. Happy printing!
