Back to Business Edition

My work-life balance has been pleasantly skewed toward family lately, what with the holidays and a fun Disney family adventure. Good times! But now I am back in action, making up for lost time and ready to bring you literally thousands of new printables in 2014. (By the way, I hope you've downloaded your free 2014 calendar from Printable2014calendars.com!)

This week, I'm highlighting additions to BusinessFormTemplate.com in the inventory forms and job descriptions categories. Also, there are a dozen new sets of writing prompts at FreeWritingPrompts.net.

New Business Forms

BusinessFormTemplate.com, a site I started back in 2008, starts 2014 by topping one thousand printables! With my recent addition of new inventory forms and logs, plus a selection of job descriptions, there are now 1,053 forms, letters, reports, and lots more for both home and business use. The site has everything from bills of sale to real estate forms. There's even a selection of medical forms that complements the collection at sister site FreePrintableMedicalForms.com.

The new inventory forms include industry-specific designs for small business owners, including beauty salons, coffee shops, and car dealerships. There are also logs for home, such as sheets to keep track of boxes and items while moving, and even a "purse inventory" list for credit cards and other personal items that would need to be replaced if stolen. The just-added job descriptions include questions and criteria for: coffee baristas, software engineers, fitness instructors, salespeople, technical writers, and several other positions. BusinessFormTemplate.com also has an array of job interview questions.

Other forms at the site relate to employment (such as human resources forms), auto purchases, agriculture, film production, and more. There are also basic office forms, tax schedules, order forms, authorizations, routing labels, forms for landlords, and various sign-in sheets. You'll also find dozens of letters to and from businesses for all kinds of situations.

Each form is free in DOC format, able to be opened and edited with Microsoft Word or another compatible program. If you'd like the convenience of having all 1,000-plus forms, logs, letters, and other printables on hand anytime, opt for the $20 all-in-one collection download.

Writing Prompts

With school starting up again after winter break, teachers may be on the lookout for classroom printables from TeachersPrintables.net as well as flash cards from PrintableFlashCards.net and paper from PrintablePaper.net. Another great resource for teachers is FreeWritingPrompts.net, and I just added dozens of writing prompts for all grade levels.

There are new writing prompts (ideas for essays, creative stories, and such) for topics such as: birthdays, current events, and travel. They're organized by elementary, middle, and high school, with several prompts for each.

I've also added several memoir-writing prompts for the past, present, and future.

Writing prompts are a great way to get students' minds flowing, and are also a useful tool for anyone who wants to boost their fiction or non-fiction writing skills.

All of the more than 100 prompts are free to download and print in either PDF or DOC format, and range from how-to essays to persuasive writing topics as well as seasonally themed prompts.

I'm looking forward to an excellent 2014, chock-full of fresh, new printables for you to download. Please keep sending me your feedback and ideas for new stuff. Happy printing!
