Letter-writing Edition

It was a fun-filled weekend for my family, as we attended the Rose City ComicCon, a comic book convention. My older daughter wore a costume (the kids call it "cosplay" now) and my younger daughter met Boba Fett from Star Wars. Then, on Sunday, we caught a performance of one of the best musicals ever, Fiddler on the Roof. Now the songs are going to be running through my head all week. "Tradition!"

As for printables, it's all about letter-writing this week. I've added a selection of new, colorful, themed letterhead to FreePrintableStationery.net. Also, there are new example letters at both GoodbyeLetters.net and CondolenceLetters.net. They're all free and ready for you to download and print.

New Printable Stationery

There are 15 new designs at FreePrintableStationery.net, bringing the total selection of free stationery at the site to nearly 400. There's professional business letterhead, cute designs for kids, seasonal and holiday stationery, and much more, conveniently organized by categories.

The newest designs focus on specific careers or interests, and thus are perfect for small business owners. They include images relating to: accounting, acting, acupuncture, legal services, computing, dancing, and editing. There are even two variations of a sheet of stationery featuring a DNA strand.

I've also added more designs that incorporate city skylines. Some match designs at FreePrintableBusinessCards.net. The latest cities included are Atlanta and Dallas.

At FreePrintableStationery.net you'll also find designs for: weddings, parties, and other events. There's full-color stationery with images from nature as well as technology, music, religion, and many more themes.

All of the stationery is free to download and print. They're in DOC format so you can open and edit them in Microsoft Word, typing in a letter, designing a flyer, or using the printables any other way you would like.

Goodbye & Condolence Letters

Letters relating to parting are among the most difficult to write. You can get a jump-start on crafting your own, sincere missive with the templates at GoodbyeLetters.net and CondolenceLetters.net.

GoodbyeLetters.net has 15 new letters to help with bidding farewell to a church or religious leader. I've added several career-related letters designed for when an employee is leaving for a new job, for maternity leave, or other circumstances. School-related goodbye letters include examples for a student leaving a sports team as well as other situations. There's also a model for a therapeutic letter in which one can write their goodbyes to an addiction.

The site also has several articles with tips on how to write a goodbye letter for situations ranging from personal breakups to the severing of business relationships.

CondolenceLetters.net has 14 new sample letters. There are letters relating to military veterans as well as letters that help someone find the words to express their empathy with the loss of a family member, friend, or coworker.

There are also letters that offer sympathy in the case of life crises such as divorce, or in the wake of a flood or other natural disaster. Like GoodbyeLetters.net, this site also has several useful articles with do's and don't for writing letters of this nature.

While the letters are intended to use as a starting point to write a letter tailored to your own situation, they can also be used virtually as-is. All the letters are free and can be downloaded in DOC format, or simply cut and paste the text direction from the websites.

Thanks so much for all your ideas for new printables. As you can see, FreePrintable.net users are a great source of inspiration for my sites. Please keep those emails coming and happy printing!
