Kevin's FreePrintable.net news
Back to School Edition

The clock is ticking on back-to-school time at my house. Which isn't fair at all, because my friends in other areas of the country just sent their kids back to school yesterday. How can I put this politely? I am ready for the kids to get back to school. And I think they're just as ready to get back to their schools. My younger daughter is excited about becoming a first grader, and my high schooler just dyed her hair purple (my favorite color; she looks great).

Not coincidentally, I've added new printables to WritingTemplates.net and TeachersPrintables.net. I've also continued to add to my only membership-based site, InstantWorksheets.net, so there are hundreds of worksheets, many free, others available to members only. Keep reading to find out more.

Teachers Printables
and Worksheets

Besides the 33 new printables at TeachersPrintables.net, I've been adding lots of stuff to   InstantWorksheets.net every couple of weeks, and now the site is up to more than 260 free worksheets and nearly 400 MORE for members who pay $4 a month for access to everything at the site, as well as a custom worksheet generator.

The new charts and forms at TeachersPrintables.net include: bar graph and diagram templates, computer and musical keyboards, a new variation of multiplication tables, 10 variations of pie chart templates, and eight Venn diagram sets.

These additions complement the hundreds of blank lesson plans, parent communication forms, passes, seating charts, and much more available at the site.

At TeachersPrintables.net, you'll find 449 classroom printables that are free to print in either PDF or, in most cases, DOC (Microsoft Word) format. There's also the option to purchase a single-class or whole-school license when you buy the entire TeachersPrintables.net collection.

As I mentioned, InstantWorksheets.net is a membership-based site. It has 260 FREE teacher-created worksheets, but joining for $4 a month (you can cancel any time) opens up access to the full collection of nearly 700 worksheets, along with others I'll continue to add in the future as I have since the site's launch in April of this year.

The worksheets are all created by teachers and range from math and science to writing and phonics. There are sheets for pre-K through middle school students, all ready to download, customize, and print. They are all top-quality and many include black-and-white or color illustrations.

Also, members have unlimited use of the worksheet generator created especially for InstantWorksheets.net. Just set the generator to add, subtract, multiply, or divide whole numbers and/or fractions. You can also use features such as fill-in-the-signs or  simplify-the-fractions worksheets. Choose how many questions you'd like per page, horizontal or vertical orientation, and sequential or random question order. Teachers and homeschooling parents love it, and even kids can use the generator to make worksheets as a study aid. Please consider becoming a member at the charter rate of $4 per month.

Writing Templates

Kids, teachers, and parents can make use of 13 new shaped, themed designs I just added to WritingTemplates.net.

The newest additions include sports -themed designs such as a soccer ball and football helmet. There's a new tooth-shaped template, perfect for students who are writing about a lost tooth or a trip to the dentist. I've added new holiday templates for Labor Day and Columbus Day, and a simple design consisting of penmanship paper with a blank box in which to draw above it. There's also a new dragon design that's my particular favorite.

There are now 119 printable writing templates to choose from, all of them free. Some form shapes such as animals, food, or holiday images with wide-spaced lines filling the design. Others include a large block of space in which to write as well as an illustration and/or writing prompt such as "My Summer Break" or instructional templates with numbered steps where a child can explain how to do something.

Thanks for letting me know what you like best about the FreePrintable.net sites, and for all of your wonderful suggestions. I appreciate your emails and Facebook posts. Happy printing!
