Bottoms Up Edition

My wife and younger daughter are out of town this week, so it's relatively quiet around the house, with just me and my older daughter. (And the dog and the four cats and the turtles.) My daughter and I are making the most of it: we went out for a dad-daughter dinner, and have been watching episode after episode of her favorite show, Doctor Who. Today we may squeeze in some video game time or go to the library or see a movie. There's so much to squeeze in, it's almost like we need a planner to schedule it out. Which is my not-so-subtle segue to tell you about this week's addition.

I've added 47 new planners to PrintablePlanners.net, including a new category for student planners, just in time for the new school year. Plus, there are 29 new toasts at ExampleToasts.com.

New Printable Planners

PrintablePlanners.net now offers a colorful, functional student planner that will work for any grade level, elementary through college. It includes 24 printables such as: calendars, course schedules, a homework planner, a budget, a study guide, and goal, essay, test, and grade trackers. There are also cover pages and section dividers, sized to fit in a standard three-ring binder.

There are more than two dozen other new planner pages at the site, including: a colorful planner with a time tracking tool in 15-minute increments, a 90-day calendar, a reward-based calendar for grown-ups to track goals, a bill tracker, blog calendars and planners, a graphical mind map for brainstorming, a spending log, dream log, lesson planners, project-tracking tools, and several more specific pages to complement the basic calendar-style planners already at PrintablePlanners.net.

There are now 355 planner pages to choose from at PrintablePlanner.net, including entire sets of planner refills in the seven most common sizes, from "mini" to "executive," ready to download, customize, print, hole-punch, and add to your Franklin Covey, Day-Timer, Day Runner or other ringed datebook.

Each of the planner pages is free in PDF format. If you'd like a version you can type into in Microsoft Word or another DOC-compatible program, opt for the collection, which is $9 per set (choose from executive, desktop, travel, personal, pocket, hipster, and mini dimensions.) Like the other specialty pages at the site, the student planner is free as a PDF or $4 per page for most of the editable DOC versions.

Example Toasts

If you have the honor of offering a toast at a party or other event, don't be nervous! I've added nearly 30 new samples to ExampleToasts.com. Most of the new additions have a celebratory tone and include short speeches for bridal showers, weddings, 21st and 50th birthdays, a golden anniversary, office parties, a toast for a job well done, holiday-themed toasts, an Oktoberfest toast, and several more-general toasts for casual parties and events.

Whether the occasion is a wedding, retirement, milestone birthday, anniversary, holiday, or work event, ExampleToasts.com has the articles, tips, and samples you need to get started on crafting your toast.

You can use the toasts on the site as-is or as a jumping-off point to inspire you to write your own meaningful words. They vary in length from a few words to a few sentences. Some include quotations. Some are poignant, while others are tongue-in-cheek, like this new toast to coworkers: "To all the fine people who came out tonight, and to all the people I work with, too!"

There are also two new toast-related articles: Rules for Wedding Toasts, and Toasts in Other Languages.

ExampleToasts.com now has almost 80 toasts for all occasions, from everyday good wishes to more formal events such as funerals. You can download any toast for free in DOC format, or simply cut and paste the text directly from the site.

Please keep sending me your ideas for new printables, and even new sites. I need to know what you'd like to see me add next. Happy printing!
