Are you on Pinterest? The visual bookmarking site has really taken off, making it fun and simple to create "boards" for everything from cooking to home improvement to crafts to travel. Lots of people are already Pinning printables from my FreePrintable.net sites, but I wanted to make it even easier for them to do so. Thus, I've added "Pin It" buttons to most of my sites. Now, when you see a coloring page
, business form, certificate, or other printable that you like, just click the red-lettered Pin It button and share the itemone of your Pinterest boards.Of course, I have brand spanking new printables for you this week. There are 17 new maps at PrintableWorldMap.net
, all free to download and print. Plus, I've added 29 new sports brackets and grids to PrintableTournamentBrackets.net. | |

New Printable Maps
|
Among the new, free printable maps at PrintableWorldMap.net are time zone maps, historical maps, animal habitat maps, and other specialty designs to complement the selection already at the website.
This is my first addition to the maps site since I launched it in mid-2009. But these new maps are worth the wait. There are brightly colored maps of the United States with states indicated, as well as a version that notes when each achieved statehood and a version displaying each state's flag. There's a kids' map of Africa as well as a map of the entire world.I've created a new category at PrintableWorldMap.net for topical maps, with full-color maps indicating the location of the Great Wall of China, Genghis Khan's Mongolian empire, the Roman empire, the Native American Trail of Tears, and the U.S. colonies.
There are now more than 165 maps at the website. The selection includes maps for countries, continents, states, and regions, some labeled and some left blank (or with fill-in lines) for geographic study and memorization purposes. Each is free to print, but if you'd like the convenience of downloading and saving all the maps at once, the map collection is available for just $9.Many of the maps at PrintableWorldMap.net are available in both portrait or landscape orientation and are in easy-to-use PDF format, making them perfect for school, trips, or any other purpose.

Tournament Brackets
|
If you or your kids are involved in sports teams this summer, you'll want to take a look at the new additions to PrintableTournamentBrackets.net.There are nearly 30 new brackets and grids at the site, making for a total of 115 printables, all free in either PDF or DOC form. Opt for the DOC versions if you'd like to open them in Microsoft Word or another compatible program to type in team members' names, scores, or other information onto the brackets, round robin groupings, or betting grids.
The new printables include illustrated brackets and round robin forms for tournaments as diverse as darts, cornhole, and beer pong. There are several brackets for the Boy Scouts' Pinewood Derby, with varying lanes and elimination configurations. I've also added printables for fantasy football, such as a draft board, roster, and bracket. There are also new variations on the traditional single-and double-eliminations brackets such as seeded draw and blind draw. And, after several requests, I've added a 64-team (or player) single elimination bracket. The betting grids are intended for good-natured wagering (where legal!) such as office pools and fantasy sports leagues.
PrintableTournamentBrackets.net has a large selection of both single- and double-elimination brackets that will work for all kinds of sports, from baseball tournaments to chess matches. And, again, everything at the site is absolutely free.
Please write and let me know what you'd like to see next. It really helps me in deciding which printables to create for the various sites. Happy printing!
