Kevin's FreePrintable.net news
Counterfeit Edition
I've never aspired to a life of crime, but somehow I'm now in the business of printing money. Printable play money for kids, that is. I enjoyed adding both realistic and fun designs to PrintablePlayMoney.net this week, but that's as close as I'll get to counterfeiting. This play money is all in good fun. Also this week, there are 56 new gift tags at FreePrintableGiftTags.net.
Printable Gift Tags
This week at FreePrintableGiftTags.net, you'll find several new gift tag designs for handmade items as well as monogram gift tags for each letter of the alphabet in two different styles.

The gift tags for crafters include illustrated designs for knitted creations and any other handmade item. Rather than the traditional "to" and "from" lines, most of these tags say "Handmade By" or "Knitted By" with room to write or type in a name.

If you'd like to personalize a gift by adding a monogrammed gift tag, you can now choose from a simple letter or a more elaborate, script monogram. You could also use these as labels to identify your belongings.

You'll also find hundreds more gift tags in categories such as: birthday, wedding, graduation, baby, nature, various holidays, and even color-your-own gift tags for kids.

All of the more than 300 tags at FreePrintableGiftTags.net are free to download and print in either PDF or DOC form. The DOC versions can be opened in Microsoft Word so you can type names directly into them. There are 10 copies of the same tag on each printable. I recommend printing onto cardstock for extra durability.
Printable Play Money
All you need is a home and office printer and you can print all the money you want. Play money, that is. I've just added a dozen new designs to PrintablePlayMoney.net, including pretend checks and play coins in black-and-white that can be colored in, if desired.

The site already has several denominations of bills and coins in both realistic and "cute" designs. There are several bills and coins on each page to save on paper; just cut them apart and set up your home bank or wallet.

The play money is great for games as well as for keeping kids sharp on money facts during the summer. They can use the bills and coins to make change, or learn how to write checks. Another idea is to use the play money as some kind of chore reward system. I'm sure I'll come up with more ideas as I print these out for my 6-year-old.

Thanks so much to all of you who have sent in ideas for new printables! I really appreciate your feedback and input. It helps me when adding to the sites, and even making new sites. Happy printing!
