Kevin's FreePrintable.net news
Lucky 2013
This weekend the family and I had an outing to the Oregon Zoo, where they're putting on their annual "Zoo Lights" display: giant animal sculptures made of light. It was super dark and sort of drizzling, but we had fun walking around seeing the lighted animals and the trees blazing with twinkling lights. My favorite might have been the electric alligators (or maybe they're electric crocodiles; it's hard to tell the difference.) The real-life zoo animals seemed a little confused about what was going on. They're used to being the stars of the show.

I know there's still plenty of fun to be had in 2012, but I wanted to give you a heads-up about the new calendar variations I've added to Printable2013calendars.com. Plus, there are new grocery lists, packing lists, and a coupon binder at FreePrintableGroceryList.com, a site that also has several lists you'll find helpful during the holiday season.

Printable 2013 Calendars
The cliché is true: time flies. It seems like just yesterday I was putting together my first site entirely dedicated to calendars, but that was way back in 2009. Printable2013calendars.com has been "live" for some time now, and I've just added six new calendar variations to the site.

The new additions include both portrait and landscape versions of weekly calendars . I've had many requests for this calendar style, and these include the entire year in one download, with plenty of room on which to write appointments, birthdays, and everything else you need to record. (You'll also find lots more weekly calendars sized to fit day planners at PrintablePlanners.net.)

At Printable2013calendars.com, there's a new 2013-14 academic calendar, as well as a bookmark-sized calendar, a calendar sized to fit around a computer monitor, and a wallet-sized calendar.

Of course, you'll also find the popular monthly calendars as well as the year in one download, a large print calendar, a vertical list calendar, three months per page, and calendars with the months before and after included off to the sides. Especially popular in prior years have been the several styles of year-on-one-page calendars in both horizontal and vertical orientations and with the months running either down or across the page. Some have holidays in red type, others have weekends shaded, one starts on Monday, some are grid style, and others have a more airy look.

Everything at Printable2013calendars.com is free to download and print! There are both PDF and DOC versions. Opt for the DOC version if you'd like to open and edit the calendar (typing into it) in Microsoft Word.
New Grocery Lists
Whether you're gift shopping for the holidays or just getting groceries, a list is the best way to make sure you don't leave anything out of your cart. At FreePrintableGroceryList.com there are more than 45 lists to choose from, ranging from Christmas themes to specialty diets to everyday shopping lists.

I've added more than a dozen new lists to FreePrintableGroceryList.com, including lists with items for special diets such as gluten-free and casein-free, paleo, and vegan. There's also an allergy-safe snack list with ideas for school parties and other events. One of my favorites is a new kids' shopping list illustrated with foods for little ones to check off. There's also a shopping list with selected items for college, aka the "starving student."

I've added a new "$50 Grocery List" for bargain shoppers, listing approximately $50 worth of ingredi ents that could feed a family for a week. Several site users requested a coupon binder, with section dividers, so I've added one of those, illustrated in color and sized to fit any standard three-ring binder.

Plus, I've expanded the section of packing lists, with pre-filled items commonly needed for trips to the beach, camping, and college.

There are also menu planners, including ones for the holidays, as well as Christmas gift list templates and other fun stuff in black and white and full color.

Many of the lists have popular items already typed in, with convenience check boxes next to them. There are also blank, lined lists. You can print any list out as a PDF and write on it in pen, or opt for the DOC version you can customize in Microsoft Word. Everything at FreePrintableGroceryList.com is free.

Thanks again for all your emails. I love hearing about printables you'd like to see next. Also, thanks so much to those of you who have purchased my new tech memoir, Terrible Nerd. Happy printing!
