The Latest Buzz
Tomorrow is Halloween - which is always an event when you're in a house with two kiddos. My older daughter and her boyfriend plan to dress up as an airline pilot and stewardess. (I know the modern term is "flight attendant" but her retro costume definitely falls into the "stewardess" category.) CQ, who is five, will be dressing up as a fairy. (She would like me to clarify that she will be "a green and purple fairy who is the grass fairy in charge of keeping grass pretty.") My wife and I will be updating the bumblebee costumes we created a month or two ago for another event. I will be wearing yellow-and-black striped tights, wings, and handing out Bit O' Honey candies.

Halloween trick-or-treating might be a bit rainy here in Portland, but that's nothing compared to the massive storm that's hammering the East Coast of the U.S. Stay safe, everyone.

This week, I want to highlight the monstrous amount of Halloween printables at the FreePrintable.net sites, including HalloweenPrintables.net. I also have new napkin rings for fall, Halloween, and Christmas at PrintablePlaceCards.net . Plus, there are 30 new bookmarks at FreePrintableBookmarks.net.
Halloween Printables
I've lost count of how many Halloween printables there are at the various FreePrintable.net sites, but it numbers well into the hundreds. Plus, there's the site I launched just last year, HalloweenPrintables.net, entirely dedicated to the holiday with games, word searches, mazes, coloring pages, and more to download and print for free. New additions to the site include Halloween finger puppets, flashlight covers, matching games, and funny illustrated signs such as: Parking for Brooms Only; Violators Will Be Toad. They're great for school, parties, and fun at home.

There are dozens more Halloween coloring pages at FreePrintableColoringPages.net, all free to print instantly. Choose from jack-o-lanterns, cute kids in costumes, spooky graveyard scenes, and more.

For sharing those special Halloween recipes, be they popcorn balls or skinned-grape eyeballs, you'll want to download Halloween recipe cards at FreePrintableRecipeCards.net. They're free as PDFs or $7 for an editable .DOC (Microsoft Word) version and you can choose from 3x5, 4x6, lined, or unlined cards.

If you're hosting a party, you won't want to miss the Halloween certificates at FreePrintableCertificates.net. They're perfect awards for winners of pumpkin carving, decorating, and costume contests.

Still need a costume? I just added a bunch of new masks to PrintableMasks.net . There are zombies, werewolves, and Frankenstein monsters that are ideal for Halloween, but be sure to bookmark the site because there are 158 masks (both full-color and colorable) to choose from for playing with year-round.

I recently added several new Halloween designs to PageBorders.net, including haunted houses, a graveyard, colorful candy, bats, and even Oktoberfest. And, for teachers and students, there are new Halloween-themed writing prompts at FreeWritingPrompts.net.

Finally, you'll find Halloween invitations at PrintInvitations.net, cards at FreePrintableGreetingCards.net, and letterhead at FreeLetterheadTemplates.net.
Printable Bookmarks
I love to curl up with a good book, especially in inclement weather. But I do not like losing my place, dog-earring library books, or messing up spines by leaving books face-down and open. So, I use bookmarks.

Coincidentally (or not), I've just added 30 new designs to FreePrintableBookmarks.net . There are several wine and cocktail bookmarks (for those book clubs out there who like to enjoy a beverage with their book) as well as bookmarks with cupcakes, tea, cute teddy bears, bunnies, butterflies, babies, gifts, curlicues, funky houses and pumpkins.

Just pick a bookmark (they're all free), download, print, and fold and tape. Use cardstock or laminate your bookmark if you'd like it to be extra sturdy. You can even add a tassle.

There are 240 bookmark designs to choose from, along with 65 bookplates . Again, they're all free to print individually, but if you'd like the convenience of having the entire collection at your fingertips, the bookmarks collection is available in a single download for $11.

Thanks so much for sharing your ideas with me. I have lots of new printables on the way, for holidays and more. Happy printing!
