This weekend, my family and I got to see two live musicals. On Saturday we enjoyed a local production of The Sound of Music, which is a heartwarming story even if you've already seen the movie a dozen times. (I'm not saying that I have. OK, I have.) On Sunday we saw a touring production of The Jersey Boys, which is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. When she was a kid, my mom was on vacation in Hawaii and got to see them play -- in a school auditorium, where admission cost $5. (Ha, it cost me more than that on Sunday just to park the car at the theater.) At one point, the drummer threw his sticks into the audience, which Mom missed catching by a hair -- something she still sounds a little regretful about when she tells the story.
None of that has anything to do with the new printables that I have for you today.
My latest additions include 139 new coloring pages at FreePrintableColoringPages.net (summer fun!), as well as a bunch of new signs at PrintableSigns.net. | |

New Coloring Pages
|
My kids are off school for the summer, and I'm no stranger to the "Dad, I'm bored" refrain. Both of my daughters are artistically inclined, and while they enjoy drawing, they're also always up for a good, old-fashioned coloring page. I've just added nearly 140 new designs to FreePrintableColoringPages.net, including the letters of the alphabet and the signs of the zodiac.
The new alphabet coloring pages
are perfect for kids learning their ABCs. There are 54 designs in all, with both upper and lower case letters, some with accompanying images of animals or objects that start with that letter. There are also pages with the entire alphabet on one sheet - great for schools and day cares.
The zodiac coloring pages (37 "regular," 48 from the Chinese zodiac
) include Celtic designs, primitive-style graphics, and ornate styles. Whether you were born a Capricorn or are a bull-headed Taurus, you'll find your sign here. The Chinese zodiac signs feature renditions of the snake, goat, rat, dragon, monkey, and so on in cute, classic, and primitive designs as well as a balloon style.
Like everything at FreePrintableColoringPages.net, all of the new coloring sheets are free to download and print. They're PNG files and can be opened on virtually any computer.

New Printable Signs
|
I can't stop adding to PrintableSigns.net! Just when I think I have every possible sign (there are 3,522, after all), site users send me ideas for more. This latest round of additions focuses largely on signs for schools, libraries, restaurants, and other public places.
You'll find signs identifying: the library, lost and found, security check, pesticide storage, and other areas. There are also black-and-white, two-color, and full-color signs announcing: no cell phones, no fishing, no running, lock your vehicle, and more.
Several of the signs
deal with food restrictions and allergies, such as: no dairy, no seafood, no nuts and wheat allergy.
Another new addition is door hanger signs such as "Please Do Not Disturb." Print these on paper or sturdy cardstock, cut them out, and hang them on a doorknob.
PrintableSigns.net is your one-stop site for business-related signs (including safety, sale, and information) as well as signs for parking, traffic, private property, swimming pools, recycling, boating, and more.
All of the signs are free as PDFs. If you'd like to type into a sign, altering it or adding text in Microsoft Word before printing it out, opt for the premium DOC version for $1.99.
Thanks again for all your ideas for new printables. I hope you're having a wonderful summer. I have more on the way, so stay tuned and happy printing!
