Video games! That's what my older daughter and I did all weekend -- we went down to the California Bay Area for an all-weekend videogame expo. Imagine a huge auditorium room filled with arcade games (all set on Free Play), like the world's largest, awesome-est arcade. I bet that for some of my readers that sounds terrible, but for Zoe and me it was a whole lot of fun. The highlight might have been our epic Ms. Pac Man battle. It was awesome, but after two days of space battles and fighting dragons, it's really nice to be back in my home office. The quiet, quiet office.
I've added 15 new family trees and genealogy charts to FamilyTreeTemplates.net

New Family Trees |
In about a week and a half, I'll be headed to Arizona to visit family. We try to go at least once a year, but for the life of me I don't know why we have to go when it's so darn hot there. Anyway, my wife is really into genealogy and so there's a special place in my heart for my site, FamilyTreeTemplates.net. I've just added 15 new tree templates to the site, along with some research-related printables. There are now more than 75 printables on this site, which I launched back in 2008.
The new, full-color, illustrated family trees
include: a four-generation tree with room for lots of siblings; a descendant chart; a kids' tree with dinosaurs; and a tree for cousins. There's also a black and white family chart featuring a graphic of a little boy gardening as well as a pedigree chart and a cousin chart.
As for new forms, there's a correspondence log, a research lot, a library research checklist, a family unit history form, and more.
I've had a lot of requests for fan chart
style family trees, so I've just added more of those, including a six-generation version. They're easy to write on in pen or pencil (but only available as free PDFs, since they can't be typed into.) All of the other trees and forms are free as PDFs, but are also available in editable DOC form. Pay just $4 for a version you can download and type into in Microsoft Word or another compatible program before printing.

Job Interview Questions
|
There's a new category at BusinessFormTemplate.com: interview questions. There are 60 of them in all, and I envision them being used by small business owners and managers in determining what to ask potential new hires, as well as by job-seekers themselves wanting to prepare themselves for interviews.
There are sample interview questions for all types of jobs, from manual labor to office help to management-level positions. Each set of 10 questions was written specifically to address the needs and qualifications of the position at hand.
The question sets can be instantly downloaded for free as either at PDF or DOC file. The DOC file can be opened and edited in Microsoft Word or another compatible program so you can further customize the questions to your needs. Whether you're interviewing a child care provider or applying for a marketing job, I'm sure these questions will come in handy during the process.
These interview questions are just the latest of the 787 ready-to-use business forms, templates, logs, charts, and more at BusinessFormTemplate.com. Besides employment-related forms, there are forms for everyday use such as bills of sale, expense reports, medical forms, money-related forms, real estate templates, sign in sheets, and much more, all organized by category.
Everything at BusinessFormTemplate.com is free to download and print individually. If you'd like the convenience of downloading the entire business forms collection at once, that option is available for just $20.
I have lots more printables, and even new sites, on the way. Please keep sending me your ideas; I want to know what you'd like to see next. Happy printing!
