March 27, 2012
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

Road Trip! My family and I are on a drive down to our old stomping grounds in Northern California to visit old friends and family who we haven't seen since we moved to Portland over a year and a half ago. We'll also visit a couple of our favorite restaurants and "play tourist" a bit.

Before we left town, I added some new printables for your printing pleasure. There's a new five-year journal at PrintablePlanners.net, kind of a spinoff on the popular 10-year journal, in case 10 years is too much of a commitment. The planner starts in 2012, with a page for each date (March 27, March 28, etc.) so you can jot just a few lines each day and, later, look back over the years.

Those of you who like to plan ahead will be pleased to know that I've already launched www.printable2013calendars.com. The site has a selection of calendars to download and print for free. I'm also highlighting the new flash cards now online at www.PrintableFlashCards.net.

» Printable 2013 Calendars
I don't know about you, but I still haven't quite reconciled myself to this being 2012. However, I know plenty of printables fans prefer to plan ahead, so I buckled down and put together some excellent calendars for a brand-new site, www.Printable2013calendars.com. The site will eventually have all the calendar variations you know and love from www.Printable2012calendars.com, plus several new designs I hope you'll enjoy.

There are traditional full-page calendars for each month of 2013 as well as a convenient download for the entire year. All of the calendars are free and available in PDF or DOC format. The DOC version can be opened and edited in Microsoft Word, typing in appointments, birthdays, and so on.

Also, the Jewish new year (5772) started last week, and I'm seeing an increase in visits to www.PrintableJewishCalendar.com. There, you'll find free calendars you can download and print for free, with Jewish holidays and with Gregorian dates also.

» New Flash Cards

You guys are creating some great flash cards at www.PrintableFlashCards.net. I've been picking the most generally useful and making them available to everyone. There are almost 100 now. Thanks for sharing!

The site offers free flash cards in categories such as: geography, language, math, science, music, and more. They're perfect as study aids, or just for fun. The new additions include: telling time in Spanish, measurement conversions, scientific names of fish, state wildflowers and mottos, medical abbreviations, birthstones, and more.

And, as you know, you can always generate your own flash cards with the custom flash card maker. Just type in the question (front side) and answer (back side) and click to make your set of cards. Then, download and print them. It's free!

I know when I roll back into town I'll have lots of work to catch up with. I hope that includes emails from you with suggestions of what type of printables you'd like to see me add next. Happy printing!

  » Kudos

I recently heard from FreeWordSearch.net user Arden, who wrote, "I cannot thank you enough for this site. I run the Sunday school at my church and also teach the 5th and 6th grade class. The 5th and 6th graders love the word search puzzles. I do one just about every Sunday to reinforce the lesson we have just completed. The children love it and they are learning, which is great. Thank you so much." Thanks, Arden!
