» New Printable Signs
|
Whoa - I just double-checked, and with my latest addition to www.PrintableSigns.net, there are now exactly 3,464 signs to choose from. And, just like when I first launched the site in 2008, they are all free to download as PDFs, or just $1.99 each for a customizable DOC version.
The 30 new signs cover diverse categories. There are several new pesticide-related signs, intended to let people know that a lawn care business, homeowner, or other party recently treated the grass or other area with chemicals. Some are sedate, others are bright yellow, while even more variations have "danger" in red and add a skull and crossbones. Related signs warn of pesticides being stored nearby.
Other new signs include: a bike repair sign, "Caution: Children at Play," a baby diaper changing station sign, computer lab door sign, gas station, emergency eye wash station, and hiking trails indicator. There are also new signs for restaurants and company cafeterias, such as an illustrated notice to "please bus your own table." Two new signs make people aware of allergy-related issue: "Egg-free" and "Gluten-free," with full-color illustrations of an egg and wheat, respectively.
There are so many signs at PrintableSigns.net: practically everything you can think of for your home or business needs, from warnings and restrictions to traffic to recycling to... well, just check it out. Again, they're all free as PDFs, or download and customize a DOC (in Microsoft Word or another compatible program) for just $1.99.
I received an e-mail last week from a nice woman who is a set dresser for TV shows: her job is to make a TV studio look convincingly like something other than a TV studio. She asked for my permission to use several of the printable recycling signs for a kids' TV show. I probably shouldn't tell you which show, but apparently "the gang" will go to a recycling center, where chaos and hilarity will ensue. Of course I told her to print all the signs she needed for the set. Children need to know about recycling, chaos, and hilarity.

New Dot to Dot Puzzles
|
|
Now that my 5-year-old is reading and counting like a champ, she loves dot to dot puzzles. I've just added 50 new ones to DotToDots.net so you and young 'uns you know can enjoy them, too. There are now nearly 400 to choose from.
A few of the shapes are pretty obvious, with some of the designs filled in already. Those are great for the littlest kids. Others are more complex, with more numbers and less of a clue what the dots will reveal once connected.
The new dot to dots cover all categories and there are also new sports-themed puzzles, transportation (airplanes, cars, and more), a cool comet, animals (cow, horse, hummingbird, koi fish, ocean creatures, a tiger, and more), food, and even origami shapes.
These puzzles are all free to download and print, so they're especially within reach for schools, day cares, and anywhere kids need to be kept occupied while working their little minds. Or, buy the entire Dot to Dot Collection in one convenient download for $9.
Please send me more ideas! I want to add new printables and even launch new sites, and I need your help. What do you want to see next? Thanks so much and happy printing!

With the school year winding to a close, I've been getting lots of emails from teachers letting me know which printables they find most handy in the classroom. Here's what Cindy in Wisconsin said about PrintablePaper.net: "Just wanted to say THANKS for the great graph papers! I used the 1" graph paper and the isometric paper to illustrate 3-D cubic figures for my third graders. Your papers made it so easy! I appreciate all of your printables so much!" |
