Word to Your Mother
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

I'm happily back to sunny Portland after our fun jaunt to Holland last week. I'm recharged and back to work thinking about printables again.

Mother's day is coming up on Sunday. My mom got me my first printer, an Apple ImageWriter, circa 1984. It was a loud, slow dot matrix printer that printed on long sheets of computer paper. When it was done printing I had to tear off the little tractor-feed holes from the edges of the paper. It was great :) Mom also bought me this program that let me print greeting cards and banners and signs. I printed cards and banners for everyone I knew. None of us knew it then, but that was the very start of my free printables. At least, it put the seed of an idea in my head that would blossom into FreePrintable.net many years later. Thanks, Mom.

I've added 30 new Mother's Day cards to www.FreePrintableGreetingCards.net. Plus, there are 30 new paper dolls at www.PrintablePaperDolls.net, ready to print, color, and play.

» Mother's Day Cards
Whether your mom (or grandma or mother figure or wife) loves teddy bears, butterflies, chocolates, coffee, or a nice martini, you'll find a card to fit the bill among the 30 new additions to FreePrintableGreetingCards.net.

There are also new Mother's Day cards with colorful hearts, a chocolate-dipped strawberry, roses, a beach scene, colorful swirls, wrapped packages, and more. They're among the more than 270 greeting cards for all occasions available via the site.

The cards are pretty, and will save you a trip to the store - and thus give you more time to give Mom a call. Plus, there's a free option for every card, and I know my mama always said saving money is a smart move.

Download any card as a PDF for free. Or, if you'd like the ability to type in a name or personal message before printing, opt for the editable DOC version for $4. It works with Microsoft Word.

Paper Dolls to Color

Ever since I launched PrintablePaperDolls.net, I've heard from site users who love the fun, colorful dolls - but they'd also like the option for kids (or perhaps grownups) to color in dolls themselves. Great idea!

I've added 30 new paper dolls to the website, all ready to print in black and white and color however you'd like. Use your imagination! Color a cheerleader or football player in your team colors. Make your own clothing variations, adding patterns, polka dots, or whatever you'd like.

There are both boy and girl paper dolls ranging from fairies and princesses to firefighters and policemen and women.

Each of the paper dolls at PrintablePaperDolls.net is free to download and print. Or, if you'd like to get the entire collection of 90 dolls in one convenient download, that option is just $9.

Please keep sending me your ideas for new sites and new printables. As you can see, I take them to heart. I'm adding more new stuff soon. Happy printing!

  » Kudos

A couple of weeks ago, I let you know about the new score sheets at PrintablePaper.net. I got this nice email from Susan, who wrote, "Thank you for the score sheets! I am so excited to have found these as we erase our old ones to make them last longer! Now
that won't be necessary, thanks to you." Have fun playing, Susan!
