Know the Score
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

On Saturday I got to do something new: I attended a conference here in Portland called TEDx, in which interesting people give short talks about interesting things. The diverse talks I heard included a microbiologist discussing how the buildings we live in affect the germs we're exposed to, and an articulate 11-year-old skateboarder kid who explained why Portland needs a covered skate park. In another talk, the guy who invented Wikis (you know, the software that makes things like Wikipedia work) discussed his ideas about the web. Perhaps my favorite talk wasn't a talk at all: it was a performance by the Portland Youth Philharmonic, which happens to be America's oldest youth orchestra. This group of kids rocked the house with old-school classical music. It was a great way to spend a Saturday.

I've added 40 new flyers to www.PrintableFlyerTemplates.net, along with 18 new score sheets for www.PrintablePaper.net. They're all free!

» New Flyer Templates
There's no need to spend time designing your own flyers for office events, parties, selling stuff, and so on. Just choose a flyer from PrintableFlyerTemplates.net, type in your own information, and print. It's a huge time-saver, and I just added 40 new designs to the site.

The new templates include full-color flyers for baby showers (both boy and girl themes) and other parties as well as school-related flyers, announcements of barbecues and picnics, and flyers for festivals, family reunions, golf tournaments, raffles, real estate, and even an ice cream social. There are also flyers for services, such as grass-cutting, daycare, dog walking, and dance lessons. (Unfortunately, there's no flyer for dog dancing lessons).

By request, I've added even more flyers designed with tabs at the bottom. Just print and then cut the bottom into strips so passersby can tear off a phone number or event information. There are for sale flyers as well as product info and real estate/rental flyers with this handy design.

Some of the flyers are black and white, while others are full color and illustrated to suit the theme. All are absolutely free to download and print in DOC form (easily edited in Microsoft Word or another compatible program), and some are available as PDFs as well, also free. There are now 80 flyer templates to choose from. This site is a nice complement to www.PrintableSigns.net, which has nearly 3,500 signs and placards for business and other uses.

Printable Score Sheets

With the addition this week of 18 score sheets, I have greatly expanded the selection of game- and sports-related printables at www.PrintablePaper.net. I thought I had nearly everything covered when it came to score sheets, but FreePrintable.net users let me know otherwise!

The new score sheets include: badminton, darts, table tennis, and Yahtzee. Besides sports, there are also score sheets for card, dice, and board games such as: canasta, Chicago bridge, Clue Jr., euchre, farkle, and gin rummy. There are also new variations of baseball, basketball, tennis, and bowling scoresheets. I've also included a few pageant and talent show score sheets.

The score sheets are all free to download and print (they're PDFs), so it's easy to have the amount you need on-hand, whether you're coaching, playing, or just a fan.

Thanks again for all the ideas you send me. As you can see, they're a major source of inspiration for new printables and new sites. Please keep those emails coming. Happy printing!

  » Kudos

It's so rewarding for me to hear how people are using my printables. I appreciated this note from K. Blue, who wrote, "I just love your site and your newsletters are the only ones in my inbox I actually take time to read. Thanks for making my day brighter and for helping me make the residents' day brighter here at [a] nursing home in Beloit, Kansas. I use your printables for all sorts of occasions and surprise my superiors at the wealth of occasions you have printables for!" Thanks so much! (I left out the name of the nursing home, just for privacy's sake.)
