March 13, 2012
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

I can't believe I didn't mention it to you the second it happened, but a FreePrintable.net site was featured on the Today Show! Yep, that Today Show. The NBC one, with Matt Lauer, Al Roker, and the gang. Elizabeth Mayhew included PrintablePaper.net as she featured several "freebies" on the show's Today's Money segment on Feb. 29. Elizabeth, showing off a bunch of printed lined, graph, and music paper (plus a score sheet), said, "This is one of my favorites." Pretty cool, if you ask me. You can see the segment for yourself on the MSNBC site. Speaking of good luck, you can celebrate the luck 'o the Irish this week with the many free printable St. Patrick's Day coloring pages on FreePrintableColoringPages.net. Also, I've added more than 100 new signs to PrintableSigns.net and there are nearly three dozen new cash receipts at PrintableCashReceipts.com.

» New Printable Signs
I've added a ton of signs to PrintableSigns.net - 115 to be exact. That includes many maritime signs for use on or near private and commercial boats. But many of them are appropriate for other workplaces. For example: an emergency eye wash station sign, exit signs, safe lifting signs, hand washing signs, and other safety and warning signs. Or, just have fun around the house with an Emergency Shower sign or this scary sign. Wow, there are more than 3,450 signs now. I get sea sick on sailboats. Don't have a sign for that: "Warning: vomit guy."

If these new signs don't suit your home or business needs, check out the other signs and placards on PrintableSigns.net. There's everything from parking, traffic and caution signs to sale, pool, and recycling signs.

Each of the signs can be downloaded and printed for free in PDF form. However, if you'd like the ability to customize your sign (adding in details such as a business name, open hours, and so on), a $1.99 DOC version is available that you can edit in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or another compatible program.

» Printable Cash Receipts

One of my most popular sites for small business owners is PrintableCashReceipts.com, which has more than 75 blank receipt templates to download and print. There are sales slips, donation receipts, petty cash receipts, and more in various sizes and shapes. These printable receipts are especially handy for businesses, independent contractors, landlords, and nonprofits because you can print as many (or as few) receipts as you need, when you need them.

Most of the 35 new additions are full, 8 1/2 by 11-inch sheets intended to be used be people in specific professions. There are graphics at the top of each receipt appropriate for the auto industry, cab companies, carpenters, dry cleaners, electricians, farmers, freelancers, handymen, gardeners, painters, pawn shops, pest control workers, plumbers, salon owners, tow trucks, and more. There are also new receipt templates for charitable donations (including a library donation receipt) and for use by eBay and Etsy sellers.

Any receipt on the site is free to download and print in PDF form. However, these cash receipts are especially convenient in DOC form, so rather than write the business and client names and other information in by hand, users can type it into Microsoft Word before printing. The editable DOC version is $7 per design, and you can save it to your computer to print again and again as many times as you'd like.

I have more sites and new printables on the way, so please keep those ideas coming. I'd love to get an email from you. Happy printing!

My newest site, FreeWritingPrompts.net, has only been online for a few weeks and I'm already getting compliments from teachers and homeschooling parents who tell me that these prompts for all levels of creative writing and essays are just what they were looking for. Mary B. wrote: "I just want to say thank you sooo much for coming up with the writing prompts for teachers, students, etc. I am becoming an elementary teacher myself and I really enjoy viewing the FreePrintable.net website. It helps me out at home, in college, and at school. I recommend this website to everyone I know." Thanks so much, Mary!
