» Ten-Year Journal
|
Have you had a chance to check out the Ten-Year Journal at PrintablePlanners.net? I've revised it to start in 2012 so you can fit an entire decade of life's happenings in this intriguing, easy-to-use format. (The first page is January 1, but of course you can start your journal any time you want.)
There's a page of each day of the year. So, for example, you'll see a page with Jan. 3 at the top and then each year from 2012 on, for 10 years total. Each year's section has four lines you can write on. You can download and save the entire 365-page file, but you don't have to print it all at once if you don't want to - start with a couple of weeks and see how you like this style of memory-keeping. I bet you'll be hooked.
I first added a 10-year journal to PrintablePlanners.net back in 2010 after hearing of the concept. It's a great way to record details of your personal and work lives in short snippets that you can look back on as the years progress.
More than just a diary, I've found the journal handy for everything from remembering milestones in my kids' lives to professional goal-setting. I have a friend who uses hers to track medical visits for tax purposes as well as capture cute things her kid says. Rather than limiting, the fact that there are only a few lines per day frees me up to just note the most important events - be they thoughts, activities, or anything else I deem important. Now that I'm on year three of my personal 10-year journal, I love looking back and seeing what I was doing on, say, Dec. 10, 2011, Dec. 10, 2010, and Dec. 10, 2009.
The journal is free in PDF form that you can print out and write upon in pen or pencil. Or, if you'd prefer to type directly onto the lines before printing, or keep the journal on your computer, pay just $4 for the premium DOC download that you can open and customize in Microsoft Word or another DOC-compatible program.

» New Luggage Tags
|
|
I hope you have some fun excursions planned for 2012, whether it's a grand world tour or a quick jaunt to grandma's house. Traveling isn't always cheap, but you can definitely save money on luggage tags. Just print free tags from PrintableLuggageTags.com.
I've just added a dozen new designs to PrintableLuggageTags.com, so the site now has more than 50 tags to choose from. They print with 10 on each tag, either one design repeated or an assortment in a theme such as animal luggage tags. The new, full-color designs include: dragons, sailboats, fairies, Egypt, violins, and more.
The tags are business card size, so they print on business card stock (or regular paper) and fit easily in most standard luggage tag holders. You can also slip them into portfolios, backpacks, billfolds, and anything else you would like identified so, if lost, your belongings can make their way back to you. You can even laminate the tags, punch a hole, and tie them onto your stuff.
Use these free tags on all your suitcases, carry-ons, and other gear.
Look forward to thousands of new printables in 2012. I have SO much in the works. Thanks for your ideas - please keep them coming. Happy printing!
