FreePrintable.net news

Dec. 27, 2011
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

Aloha from Hawaii. My family and I are spending the holidays on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. This weekend we went to the Pearl Harbor memorial, and the kids have spent a lot of time getting wet and sandy at the beach. It's been warm and relaxing. I'd send you a postcard but I'm too relaxed to find a stamp.

Hey, I'd like to send a special hello to the newest newsletter subscribers -- a lot of folks have discovered FreePrintable.net in the last couple of weeks, having searched for printable gift tags and 2012 calendars. I hope you enjoy the newsletter and the printables as much as I enjoy creating them. (Because I really enjoy creating them.) I have so much new stuff planned for 2012 -- all sorts of useful new printables for businesses and fun stuff for kids and families. I can't wait to show you.

In a couple of days, we'll be winging back to Portland's rainy raininess, but for now it's 75 degrees and beautiful. Be a dear and pass me that icy beverage. Thank you.

If you're planning a New Year's party, don't miss the new printable invitations, as well as free New Year's Day coloring pages to keep the kids occupied until midnight.

» Printable 2012 Calendars
I know that lots of you have already visited www.printable2012calendars.com to download free calendars. Some opt for the year-on-one-page versions, others prefer the full-page style - hey, print several. They're all free!

You can download and print a 2012 calendar on one page in horizontal or vertical orientation as well as specialty versions with the week starting on Monday, academic calendars, or full-size bold print calendars. You can get the entire year in one download, or just print a month at a time. There are even wallet-sized calendars as well as the popular weekly 2012 calendars.

Choose from PDF versions you can print and write on, or opt for the also-free DOC versions that can be customized in Microsoft Word before printing. Just type in birthdays, appointments, and other important details of work and family life.

Start the year off right with these attractively formatted, free 2012 calendars.

» QR Code Business Cards

The ubiquitous, handy QR codes - those little squares you see on products, in advertisements, and even on billboards -- have made their way to business cards. A shortcut to a wealth of information about a person, company, product, and service, these 2D barcodes aren't the wave of the future. They're the present. No need to be left behind - now you can instantly generate a printable business card with a custom QR code right on the front!

This new addition to www.FreePrintableBusinessCards.net is especially exciting to me, as QR codes weren't on most consumers' radar when I launched the site back in 2005. This new feature means that, along with choosing from 1,081 free printable business card designs, you can embed virtually any information you want into a white-background card in the form of a QR code.

The Business Cards with QR Code generator lets you choose a font and several lines of contact information for the body of the business card and then type in the content you want in your QR code - up to 350 characters. Then just click, generate, download, and print. The cards are PDFs and completely free. Hand your cool, new card out to customers, friends, and so on and they can use their smartphone's camera and scanning software to decode the information.

The rest of the cards at FreePrintableBusinessCards.net are free DOC (Microsoft Word) files with the site URL embedded in the card (discreetly located at the bottom in small print), or $3 if you'd the like the ability to remove the URL.

Thanks so much for all the wonderful ideas you shared with me in 2011. I hope the year treated you well, and that 2012 brings you many great things. I know it will bring great printables. Happy printing!

I just love this sweet note from Mimi W. She didn't mention which FreePrintable.net site is her favorite, so I'll assume she likes them all. Mimi wrote: "It is amazing! No matter what I need and when I need it, I can always find it at FreePrintable.net. I am so thrilled that I found the site and even more thrilled that you have the best stuff around."
