FreePrintable.net news

October 4, 2011
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

It's October, and that means my daughters are planning their Halloween costumes. My 4-year-old wants to be a fairy, and my 14-year-old wants to be a ninja. But they reserve the right to change their minds within the next week or two. Maybe one will be a fairy-ninja. I'm excited about my Halloween costume as well, but I'll save that for another newsletter - maybe. (It's still in the works.) For now, let me share my exciting new website that's all about Halloween: www.HalloweenPrintables.net. I've also got new Halloween party invitations at www.PrintInvitations.net.

» Halloween Printables
Like a werewolf under a full moon, a new FreePrintable.net site is revealed! It's HalloweenPrintables.net, launching with more than 80 coloring pages, greeting cards, puzzles, and other fun activities and art for your Halloween celebration. There are ghostly graphics, monstrous mazes, and scary signs as well as printable fun facts about the holiday.

Many of the designs are more sweet than spooky, making them appropriate for little kids, too. But the coloring pages also include a creepy haunted house, graveyards, bats, black cats, and haunted scarecrows sure to please coloring fans of all ages.

Besides the printable word searches and other puzzles, there is a nice selection of full-color, illustrated Halloween signs with messages to mark Zombie Crossing, directions to a haunted house, witches' broom parking, and Beware of Ghosts.

All of the printables can be instantly downloaded in PDF form and opened with Adobe's free Acrobat Reader. The Halloween greeting cards (which feature jack-o-lanterns, witches, ghosts, and mummies) are also free in DOC form, and can be customized in Microsoft Word or another compatible program.

And how many pieces of pirate gold would you pay for such a spooktacular assortment? Well, everything on HalloweenPrintables.net is free to download and print one at a time. If you would like the convenience of downloading the entire 80-plus Halloween printables collection at once, that option is available for just $19. It's great for businesses, schools, and other users who like to have a large selection of Halloween fun on hand.

» Halloween Party Invitations

I love parties, but Halloween parties are among my favorite events. I like to get a nice drink from the cauldron before feeling around in some guts and eyeballs - a.k.a spaghetti and peeled grapes. If you're hosting a holiday event, be sure to check out PrintInvitations.net. I just added more than a dozen new Halloween invitations, so there are now 250 cards at the site.

The new designs include monsters, ghosts, candy, pumpkins, Frankenstein's monster, and more. There are cards for both kid and grown-up parties.

The cards download instantly and are half-fold size. They're free as PDFs, but if you'd like to be able to type directly onto the card rather than hand write (there are lines inside for the address, R.S.V.P., and so on), pay just $6 per design for the premium .DOC version that can be edited in Microsoft Word.

I have tons more printables on the way for the fall and winter holidays, plus more for your home or office. Please write and let me know what's on your printables wish list. Happy printing!

I love getting email from teachers, and this recent note from Mimi W. was especially appreciated: "I am a special education teacher in a junior high school. I absolutely love all of your columns and have a special folder for them on my computer. I am in the file almost daily, looking for suitable materials for my students. This is one of the best sites I have found yet. Thank you ever so much."
