» Letters From Santa
|
If you have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews - well, if you were ever a kid at all, you know that Santa is a complex man who is as busy as he is mystical. Basically, he gets more mail than Lady Gaga and there's no way he has time to answer it all. That's where www.SantaPrintables.com comes in. That's my site that, since its launch in 2008, has offered dozens of variations of letters from Santa for all kinds of situations, from baby's first Christmas to the child who may no longer believe in the guy in the red suit.
I've just added nine new letters, so there are now nearly 50 to choose from. The new letters include a note from Santa following up with a child who met him in person, a letter to accompany an extra-special present, a letter for kids spending Christmas away from home, and even a letter explaining that a child's toy request was not approved by his or her parents, and thus Santa can't honor it. I've also added a selection of letters dealing with the tough topic of "cutting back" on gifts at Christmas time. Many families, whether due to financial constraints or just a desire to model a less-material holiday experience for kids, are having less under the tree this year. This type of letter was requested by several SantaPrintables.com users, and I've obliged, and also included a version talking about the Christian aspects of Christmas and giving.
All of the letters are formatted on beautiful, full-color Christmas stationery and digitally "signed" by Santa. Other letter topics include: letters for Christmas morning, letters to pets, funny letters for grownups, and letters from the reindeer and Mrs. Claus. The letters are free in PDF format - just download and print it as-is. However, if you'd like to customize the letter by typing in the child's name and other details (such as presents requested, or hometown) before printing, opt for the $5 premium DOC version that opens in Microsoft Word or other DOC-compatible programs such as Google Docs.
There is also a selection of 17 full-color Christmas cards to download and print for free as PDFs, or $5 for a version you can edit in Microsoft Word, adding names, personal messages, and so on.
I ho-ho-hope you enjoy the letters and cards! Merry Christmas, and thanks for helping Santa out with his correspondence.

|
As stocking stuffers or everyday play things, you can't go wrong with good, old-fashioned paper dolls. But the free paper dolls from www.PrintablePaperDolls.net have the "modern" ability to be instantly downloaded and printed for free. Anytime your child is bored, just head to the computer, fire up the printer, and print out some dolls and outfits. (I've heard from a few adult collectors who enjoy these dolls as well.)
Just in time for the holiday season, I've added new winter and Christmas paper dolls to the site. There are both boy and girl dolls in winter coats as well as girl dolls with red and green Christmas elf and Santa outfits. They're all super-cute and seasonal.
There are now 60 paper dolls and outfits at PrintablePaperDolls.net, and they are all free to download and print one at a time. Other dolls include: sports, ballerina, fairy, princess, fire, police, and soldier. If you'd like the convenience of downloading and saving the entire collection of dolls, clothes, and hair at once, there is the option to buy the Paper Doll Collection as one ZIP file for $9.
When printing paper dolls from PrintablePaperDolls.net, use cardstock if you'd like sturdier dolls and clothes, but regular printer paper works fine as well. Have fun!
Thanks so much for emailing me with your ideas for new sites, as well as additions to existing printables sites. I have more in the works, but I want to know what you'd like to see next. Happy printing!

I think I've mentioned before how much I love hearing how classroom teachers use the printables. So, you can imagine how pleased I was to get this note from Sylvia B.: "I am an ESL teacher in New Orleans, LA. I am searching for free printable coloring, worksheet, mazes, etc. for my classes (K-12 grade). Thank you for sending me free printables that I can use in my classroom with all grades." Enjoy TeachersPrintables.net and the other sites, Sylvia! |
