FreePrintable.net news

November 15, 2011
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

Looking around my sites the other day I was surprised to see on the FreePrintableGiftTags.net homepage that 12 of the top 15 popular gift tags are Christmas gift tags. The site automatically shows the recently popular printables on the homepage (so it won't show Valentines gift tags in November), but I was surprised to see that here, a week until Thanksgiving, Christmas and Seasons Greetings gift tags are already topping the list.

So, it seems like many of you are in a holiday mood. And I know I'm supposed to give the people what they want. And I will. But I'm in "work" mode this week, so I've just added 33 new resume templates to www.InstantResumeTemplates.com. There are now 125 sample resumes to choose from, easy to download and customize so you can get that job or share your academic experience. I've also added a selection of new printable borders to www.PageBorders.net, with designs for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and more.

Incidentally, you can always see which printables are the most popular at ALL the FreePrintable.net sites via the cool "What's Popular" tool here: www.FreePrintable.net/popular/week/

» New Resume Templates
I've just added nearly three dozen free resume template variations to www.InstantResumeTemplates.com, this time focusing on specific industries. These fields include: cashier, CNA, cosmetology, dental assistant, library assistant, pharmacy tech, security guard, and receptionist. By popular demand, there are also new nurse resume examples. And for those just starting out in their working lives, there are "high school" and "student" resumes.

Some of the new resumes are available in both color and black and white variations. All are in 8 1/2 by 11 (letter) size along with A4, for job seekers in countries that use that size of paper.

The resumes download instantly in DOC format, and can be opened and edited in Microsoft Word or another DOC-compatible program such as Google Docs. There's placeholder information for you to modify to suit your situation - just type over the text and the resume will retain its professional formatting, fonts, and so on.

The new resumes join more than 100 templates already at the site, in categories ranging from academic to informal, and even skills matrices designed to help employers or job seekers evaluate an applicant's skill set.

» New Page Borders

OK, it turns out I was in a holiday mood after all. Right before sending out this newsletter, I added another 20 borders to www.PageBorders.net. The new borders include Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas designs. There are turkeys, menorahs, and snowmen galore (not all on the same printable!).

I've also put up some classic borders such as an antique red design, a gorgeous architectural border, a leather-look border, a border with lions, a medieval corner design, and some oval and round borders.

You can use the borders at PageBorders.net (ranging from kids to sports to nature) in flyers, or to make certificates, as stationery, or however you'd like.

There are several choices for downloading the borders. You can get any border design for free, instantly, in PDF, DOC (Microsoft Word), or JPG format. Just click to download. If you'd like to edit a border in a professional graphics program, you can get an AI (Adobe Illustrator) file for $7 per design.

I appreciate all your feedback and ideas for new printables. I have much more on the way, so please stay tuned. Happy printing!

  » Kudos

I love, love, love libraries, so of course it pleased me to get this email from Rachel A., who uses many of the FreePrintable.net sites. "I LOVE this web site! I am a children's coordinator for a public library and this site offers everything I need for story time and other programs I offer. Thanks so much!"
