Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

Happy fall! I hope the autumn leaves are as pretty in your neck of the woods as they are in mine. I spent part of last weekend indoors at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, and it was awesome. I volunteered for awhile and bought a few little retro-gaming trinkets. I also got to play some Tron -- my favorite classic game. It's a coin-operated arcade game that was released in 1982. I popped many a quarter into one of these machines back in the day. I also saw the Droid I was looking for (an R2 unit built by a local hobbyist), and met some fellow Commodore and Atari lovers. Then I came home and worked on printables!

» Word Search Puzzles
I'm so "stoked" (I dug that up from my '80s slang word bank) by the response to my new site, FreeWordSearch.net! You guys are creating word searches like crazy. I'm carefully picking my favorites to add to the site, and I wanted to let you know about some of the newest additions. There's a wide range of puzzle topics already at the site - more than 100 so far!

Some of the latest puzzles made by site users like you include: Circus Fun, La Familia, Weather Words, Nancy Drew, Star Trek, Disciples, NHL Teams, Reptiles, Elvis (the King lives!), Quilting, Library Terms, and African Animals. Just go to the site and click on any word search topic to bring up the puzzle. Then you can click to print it. You can even print each puzzle's solutions (but no cheating!)

Remember, you, too, can create and print your own word search for free with the custom Word Search Maker. Just enter your own words and it instantly generates a puzzle! You can select the difficulty level (Easy, Medium, Hard, or Difficult) and choose the size of the puzzle as well (Tiny, Small, Medium, or Large). And, of course, it's all free.

» New Printable Place Cards

Planning a party? I've made some new additions to PrintablePlaceCards.net, including place cards with large, bold numbers on them - from 1 to 100. These are great if you're hosting a wedding or another large party. Print out the cards on cardstock, fold, and place one on each table and you won't have any awkward guest moments.

Or, choose from dozens of other printable place cards. Having an autumn-themed or "harvest" event? Jazz up your tables with a fall leaves card - those are "trending" in popularity right now. There are also place cards for birthdays, baby showers, weddings, and other events, plus holidays and fun, everyday designs.

All of the place cards at PrintablePlaceCards.net are free to download and print in PDF form. These versions are intended to be printed out and written upon in pen. However, there is also a premium .DOC version of each card. For $5, you get a convenient file you can open in Microsoft Word, where you can type directly onto each card, adding guests' names or other information. You can print the cards on paper or sturdy cardstock, but they're also formatted to fit Avery #5302 "Small Tent Cards."

Don't forget to invite me to your party! I'm not promising I'll be able to make it, but I do enjoy a good celebration. Especially if the food is tasty.

Thanks for checking out the latest printables, and for all your feedback that helps me improve the FreePrintable.net sites. Please write and let me know what you'd like to see next. Happy printing!

-- Kevin
