June 21, 2011
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

This newsletter comes to you from "the road," as I'm in the midst of a post-Father's Day family getaway in Southern California. My wife got to reunite with some of her old (and by "old" I mean former) high school friends, and our daughters are having a blast playing with their cousins. Before I left town, I added a bunch of new borders to www.PageBorders.net, as well as a selection of eulogies to www.CondolenceLetters.net. Please keep reading to find out more about these new additions.

» New Page Borders
There are now 21 new borders at www.PageBorders.net, ranging from Autumn to Zebra and bringing the total of borders at the site to 61. There are holiday borders, kid borders, sports borders, and more. Basically a framed, 8 1/2-by-11-inch page, these printables can be used for letter writing, fliers, report covers, photo frames, and more.

All of the borders are expertly designed in full-color. The new themes include: graduation, music, patriotic, preschool, rainbow, roses, outer space, stars, train, tropical, wedding, and Western.

All of the borders are free to download and print in DOC (Microsoft Word), PDF, PNG or JPG format. If you'd like even more creative freedom, opt for the $7 AI version that can be opened and edited in Adobe Illustrator.

» Eulogy Examples

The response to www.CondolenceLetters.net, which I launched earlier this year with a selection of sample condolence and sympathy letters, has been truly heartwarming. As I expected, it is incredibly hard to find the right words to honor a friend, loved one, or co-worker who has died. The letter samples provide a "jump start" from which to customize a more personalized message for situations as diverse as a sudden death, the death of someone you don't know well, and the death of a dear friend.

Now, I've added eulogy examples, tailored for various family relationships as well as friendship. Like the sympathy letters, these aren't intended to be used exactly as-is, but rather to provide a starting point and key elements you'll want to include when writing from the heart. The examples include "prompts" to add an anecdote, family history, and other important memories.

CondolenceLetters.net also has articles with tips on how to write a letter of condolence. Now I've added advice on giving a eulogy as well as poems, stories, and song lyrics you might want to include.

Everything at CondolenceLetters.net is free. Either download the DOC file and edit it in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or another compatible program, or simply cut and paste the text from the site.

Thanks for all your ideas and suggestions. Please keep 'em coming. I have lots of printables in the works for the summer. Happy printing!

Colleen P. wrote recently to let me know what a help FreePrintableMedicalForms.com has been as she cares for an aging family member. "I love your website!  I am trying to help to keep track of my mother-in-law's health and your forms made this so much easier! At a very stressful time dealing with her illness, the last thing I wanted was to have to spend precious minutes creating documents to help keep track of all the medications and doctor visits. I really can't thank you enough!" Thank you, Colleen. I hope your mother-in-law is doing better.
