FreePrintable.net news

June 7, 2011
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

I'm going to call this the "family edition" of the FreePrintable.net newsletter. That's because I'm unveiling a bunch of new printable especially for families. Just in time for family reunion season, there's a selection of new family tree designs at www.FamilyTreeTemplates.net, and for families that are expanding, there are many new pregnancy and baby announcements at www.PrintableBirthAnnouncements.net.

» New Family Trees
My wife is really into genealogy, and has spent many hours researching and documenting all branches of our family tree. Our history includes plenty of "non-traditional" family events, from remarriages to adoptions, which is part of why I've made sure to include family tree and ancestor chart variations for many different groupings and relationships at FamilyTreeTemplates.net.

The nine new designs include new four-, and five-generation illustrated family trees as well as a stepfamily tree and a cute teddy bear tree for schoolchildren. There are also new charts, such as a family tree diagram and a five-generation ancestor chart. I've also added a cemetery research form that includes a grid on which to map plots. While many of the designs are in color, they will also print nicely in black and white.

You can download the family trees in either PDF or DOC form. The PDF is free - simply open it, print it, and write on it in pen or pencil. If you'd like the ease and style of typing directly into the template, choose the $4 premium DOC download, which can be customized in Microsoft Word.

There are now more than 60 family tree templates to choose from, ranging from two-generation to seven-generation designs!

» New Birth Announcements

I'm very pleased to have just added 26 cute, colorful new designs to www.PrintableBirthAnnouncements.net, a site I launched in 2009. Now there are more than 50 announcements at the site. In addition to cute cards and postcards announcing a baby's arrival, there are also special designs for twins, triplets, adoptions, and pregnancies. There are variations with room to add photos of a baby, babies, or ultrasound.

These new designs feature fun animals, including a hatching chick, celebrating sea creatures, and blue bunnies. New themes include designs for multiple births, preemie babies, and sibling announcements such as "My Little Brother!" And here's something new: puppy birth announcements!

All of the birth announcements are free to download as PDFs - just print them out on paper or cardstock and write the baby's details in pen or pencil. Or, to save time when you are likely quite busy with a new baby or babies, opt for the $7 premium .DOC download. Then, you can open the card in Microsoft Word and type directly on the lines provided for the baby's name and vital statistics. Then, save and print as many times as you need to - which is especially handy when you realize you've forgotten to share the happy news with someone.

Most of the new designs print with two per sheet, which saves paper and allows you to fold the cards and place them into a small envelope.

Most of this week's new additions are a direct result of feedback and suggestions from users like you. Please let me know what you'd like to see next. Happy printing!

Kevin

I got an email this week from Todd C. whose words about BusinessFormTemplate.com were short but sweet: "Love the site and the ability to download free templates. Thank you!" Thanks, Todd! I'm glad you're enjoying the templates.
