| » Character Reference Letters |
If you've been asked to serve as a character reference for a friend, employee, or colleague, no matter how much you like and respect the person, it's a bit of a chore. My newest site, CharacterReferenceLetters.com, makes the process easier by providing free templates for situations as diverse as job hunting and court proceedings.
You can use the templates as a jumping off point, customizing them to suit the person you're writing about. The letters can be downloaded for free as DOC files (compatible with Microsoft Word and similar word processing programs), and they're already formatted as business letters, with phrases and prompts that will make writing the reference letter much easier. (You can also simply cut and paste the text directly from the website.)
Sample letter templates are available for employment, court and custody matters, medical issues, child care, school settings, renting, lending and more. There are more than 20 sample letters to choose from, and CharacterReferenceLetters.com also has several articles and tips on writing these types of recommendation letters.

| » Tax Time Printables |
|
Taxes are about my least favorite thing to deal with, but with my move from California to Oregon last year, my 2010 taxes are extra nightmarish. Two states want forms, plus my new county, plus the federal government. (And everything is times two - personal and business.)
I hope that some of the printables available via the FreePrintable.net can make tax time easier for you this year, and in the future. There are forms, receipts, templates, time sheets, and other helpful time-saving tools to help you keep organized records.
There are sites especially for printable invoice templates, cash receipts, time sheets. And BusinessFormTemplate.com has expense report forms, bills of sale, mileage logs and other information for writeoffs and recordkeeping in home, freelance or business settings. There are even sales tax schedules for small businesses.
To keep your budget on track in 2011 and beyond, there are printable budgets at PrintablePaper.net.
Many of the printables have free PDF versions, while others are available in either free or paid premium (a few dollars) DOC files that can be typed directly into using Microsoft Word or a similar compatible program.
I hope you're enjoying the new sites! I'm heading out of town for a little spring break R&R with the family, but when I get back, I'll be hard at work on new printables and sites. Please email me and let me know what you'd like to see next. Happy printing!
Kevin

I got a wonderful email this week from a FreePrintable.net user who enjoys the various letter template sites (Besides the new character reference letters, there are currently sites with sample letters for complaints, apologies, goodbyes, condolences, resignations, hardship, recommendations and thank yous, as well as cover letters. Darcetha wrote: "Thank you for creating your website of downloadable letter templates for all occasions and situations. I researched other sites and they were not as comprehensive in selection as yours. Your site is very easy to navigate and is also displayed in a clear way. Downloads are also easy and quick."
