March 15, 2011
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

I've never been a fan of popularity contests, but when it comes to printables, I like to know which items on my websites are the most popular among users. It's interesting to see your favorites, and it helps me figure out what to add more of next. Recently, it occurred to me that knowing these details might be fun and helpful to you guys (and gals) as well. It took some doing, but this week I'm unveiling the "Popular Printables" feature. So, who's the most popular kid in the FreePrintable.net class? Read on.  Also this week, I have a list of some of the best printables for St. Patrick's Day. And please help me spread the word: Because of the tragic effects of the earthquake and tsunami, FreePrintable.net sister site FaxZero has made faxes to Japan free to help people communicate with family and friends - https://faxzero.com/japan.php.

» Popular Printables
Do you have favorite printables? Want ideas on other cool printables you may have missed? The new Popular Printables feature lets FreePrintable.net users see which free and low-cost printables have been downloaded most frequently.

This is something I've wanted to do for a long time but it meant building a lot of infrastructure to make it work right. Finally, my behind-the-scenes work has paid off and the most popular printables can now be seen at: http://www.FreePrintable.net/popular/

I'm not sharing this widely - this is a bonus feature for readers of this newsletter. Simply visit the link to see the most popular printables for the past day, week or month (just choose the range from a pull-down menu). It's updated daily. (As I write this, the most popular printable, of all 19,711 printables, during the last month is, ta-da: the March 2011 calendar. I hope I get to sit next to it in the lunchroom!) Other popular kids (hey, I consider all the printables my babies) currently include: a basic fax page, some resumes, lined paper, the Master Grocery List from FreePrintableGroceryList.com, a check register, a billing invoice and some letterhead. It's kinda cool to watch the trends as holidays come around and so on. Please check it out and let me know what you think!

» St. Patrick's Day Printables

St. Patrick's Day is this week, and there are plenty of printables to help you celebrate at home, school, or work. Get our your green crayons, because there are nearly 30 coloring pages with  leprechauns, shamrocks and more at FreePrintableColoringPages.net. Most of the designs are for kids, but there's some green beer in there, too, for grownups wielding crayons. I also have a comical St. Patrick's Day card at FreePrintableGreetingCards.org as well as a leprechaun fax cover sheet at FreeFaxCoverSheets.net and a leprechaun gift tag at FreePrintableGiftTags.net.

Thanks again for all the great ideas you've shared for new printables. Heading into spring, I'm planning on adding lots of fresh, new printables and entire new sites, too. Happy printing!

  » Kudos
I readily admit that I have been happily drawn into Facebook. It's an easy, entertaining way to stay connected with friends and family. I love seeing the things FreePrintable.net's fans post on its wall. Just in the last week, Marilyn H. wrote, "I love all your printables. I find they make life just that much easier." Mary Lou V. complimented the new medical forms. Pat L. wrote, "Thanks for all of the wonderful free printables; we use them quite often and they sure do save a lot of time." And Carlos R. wrote, "Way to go, FreePrintable.net!" Thanks, FreePrintable.net Facebook fans, all 3,340 of you! Want to "Like"? Go here: Facebook.com/FreePrintable
