Dec. 21, 2010
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

All I want for Christmas is snow. Snow, Portland, snow! I'm sorry to keep griping about it, but I was promised snow. (I'm originally from Southern California, so I take my snow very seriously.) I hope you're having a wonderful winter. My kids are off school, so we've been having family movie night and other fun stuff. If you've left Christmas gift-wrapping to the last minute, fear not! I recently added a whole bunch of gift tag designs to www.FreePrintableGiftTags.net. Also, for you procrastinators out there (I resemble that remark), it's not too late to give Santa a little assistance by printing letters from www.SantaPrintables.com. Besides letters from Santa that can be mailed, there are also letters to be presented on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.

» Christmas Gift Tags
Have you seen the latest additions to www.FreePrintableGiftTags.net? There are 18 new designs, which means there are now dozens of holiday gift tags to choose from, and 245 tags on the site altogether.

The new designs are bright and fun and include: Santa Claus, snowmen, reindeer, holly, nutcrackers, candy, Christmas lights, snowflakes, and a cute puppy. Some read "Merry Christmas" while others say "Seasons Greetings" or "Happy Holidays."

Be sure to think outside the gift box! Other holiday-themed tags on the site feature cookies, gingerbread, and cake and are perfect for attaching to plates of treats as well as "gifts in a jar."

Tags are free to download and print, and are available in either PDF or DOC form. The DOC versions are great if you want to type names directly onto the tags.

The gift tags come with 10 per sheet, and can be printed on printer paper, cardstock, or adhesive "sticker" paper. Then, just cut them apart with scissors or a paper trimmer.

» Letters from Santa

Getting a letter from Santa in the mail is great, but equally exciting for little kids is waking up to a Santa letter on Christmas morning. SantaPrintables.com has more than 40 letters from Santa to choose from, including versions suitable for placing in Christmas stockings or alongside half-eaten trays of cookies with milk. The ability to print Santa letters from your home computer are another reason printables are great for people (like myself) who tend to wait until the last minute.

Don't miss the fun letters for grown-ups; they make a great gag gift! There are also letters for baby's first Christmas, the family pet, and children in special situations, such as missing an out-of-town parent or doubting Santa's existence.

You can print any letter design for free in PDF form, or pay just $5 for a printable DOC version you can open and edit in Microsoft Word and most other DOC-compatible word processing programs.

Have a wonderful week and please take a moment to send me your ideas for new printables. I have new additions and sites on the way soon. Happy printing!

Kevin

  » Kudos

Thanks so much to everyone who has emailed, or posted to the FreePrintable.net Facebook Wall, wishing myself and my family happy holidays. Thanks, too, for telling me how printables have made this busy time of a little easier this year with Christmas certificates, greeting cards, and more. Rebecca S. wrote, "Thank you Kevin, and your wonderful helpers. You do a great job, and your sites are terrific. Merry Christmas!"
